Would be nice if we could manufacture a slot receiver out of a late round pick and/or a vet pick up. Feel nervous about getting JE11 through a season without too much WR talent around him.

Austin Mack

If we are 5-11 this year than I’d say 7-9 at best with Brady. Maybe less.
Tom Brady would always get us to 10-6 at least. 20 years of evidence tells us that. And there are years there that with a lesser QB we are below .500.

Yeah, it sucks because I actually do want to make that comparison. The best parts of Asiasi's game do resemble some of Gronk's strengths, and the best parts of Keene's game seem to be similar to Hernandez's (I didn't watch VT last year so I can't say). They're not in the same ballpark as athletic prospects, though, so in addition to feeling like kind of a lazy comparison it also feels misleadingly sensationalistic. So I avoided making at all because you'd have to attach like 5 disclaimers to it and people would still misinterpret it and straw-man the **** out of you.

Which is why I talked about utilisation rather than comparing the players. The words were carefully chosen to avoid the pitfalls you note.

Why did my ****ing binky have to go to the chiefs

2019 Brady was kinda terrible. No reason to think he would get us to 10 wins by himself anymore if we truly are a 4 or 5 win team.

If they successfully bring that run game from 2018 back I love their chances to win the AFCE. And maybe more. I hope they do. No team had an answer for that.

This season is going to be HUGE for McDaniels.. No Scar. No Brady. The offense will all be on him..

An O-line of Wynn, Thuney, Andrews, Mason, Cannon should really improve the run game.. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michel in the 2018 Play-off form immediately.

The camp battle between Hoyer and Stidham is what will be interesting.

I really like our receivers in Edelman, Sanu, Meyers, and Harry. (I've not added Lee because the Patriots haven't announced the signing) Oszlewski is a dark horse, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the team again.. The kid has that "IT" factor, imho.. He reminds me so much of Edelman.

With the Patriots still having 6 picks the only "NEEDS" I see them having is at NT and Kicker. Everything else is "icing". That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see an OC/OG and OT as well.

I'm not saying the team's going 0-16. I'm saying that, as of now, it's a team that could finish anywhere from 1 to 4 in the division. And anyone who tells you that the team will win "at least", or "no more than" is just talking out of their ass.
Well, yeah. That’s why I’m predicting around .500. I think the team is capable of surprising and pulling off 11 wins. I also think it’s possible this offense completely gets stifled and we only win 5.

The evidence over 20 years says yes. And we got to 10 wins last year with some of the most wretched offensive talent I have EVER seen.

I love the idea of a TE double dip, though I have no idea if they are the right TEs to have picked
Why? These 2 seem very similar. It’s not like the Gronk and Hernandez picks. They brought distinctly different skills to the position and complimented each other perfectly. That does not seem to be the case here.

Lmao! This guy never fails...wait, actually...

18 years, actually. Can't count his rookie year or 2008.. But still a valid point..

Just curious, why? I like the first 2 picks, but the last 3 are meh.

Two seriously high upside picks in the first two picks, a solid potential future starter in Jennings and whilst the TEs aren’t special (none in the class were really), they look to be complimentary and have some upside.

Let me guess: you want to talk politics...

It has nothing to do with politics. I just hate the fakeness of it all. We all appreciate people making sacrifices right now but we don’t run around praising them nonstop merely for attention.

Raiders last few picks

Lynn Bowden Jr
Bryan Edwards

Studs

No, Brady had kind of terrible talent all around him last year.

McDaniels made salad out of chicken **** last year. I don't know how the hell he did anything. He was literally needed to draw up passes to Elandon Roberts to make up for deficiency in offensive talent.

Is this a serious post? Cassel had Moss and Welker. A group of offensive talent responsible for taking us to 18-1. Our offensive group going into this year is the worst in 20 years. Absolutely ridiculous comparison.

Ok, now talk about their WR3 and 4 (they stunk) their elite TE (Watson lead them with 22/209 and 2 TDs) and their starting RB (Sammy Morris bc Maroney sucked then was put IR), not to mention their aging defense that suffered multiple significant injuries and mediocre (at best) CB group.

That’s right @DaBruinz, I’m am ****ing genius. 5-11

No one here cares about your prowess in bed.. And that has ZERO to do with what the Patriots record will be.

BTW, I'm not the one who took a swipe at you for you saying only 5 wins.. Helps to pay attention.
