I'll add this here too...

I've been to 1 college football game in my life Uche had 2 sacks. This pumps me up lol.

My boy is a big Michigan fan so we went To Mich @ MD last year before the Raven game.

Fascinating that all these reports talk about his speed and athleticism, then at the end, you got a scout saying he’s not a very good athlete and no burst as a pass rusher. Either someone has no talent at their job, was high on drugs, or was trying to hurt his value.

Guys evaluate players differently, see different things, don't see the things they should. If that wasn't the case then Tom Brady would have been the 1st pick overall.

I wouldn't say on-field burst and measurable athleticism are synonymous. Maybe they think he has a lot of raw talent but it didn't show on tape with respect to burst. The most concerning thing to me in that write up was that vague third of a sentence claiming he couldn't play the run.
That’s the thing though. Looking at his highlights (which I understand is different from his full tape) you see burst and bend off the edge, and burst to the ball carrier in droves.

"Potential as a situational rusher"

Does this mean he won't be an every down player? Not happy if true. Otherwise, it's an okay pick I guess.
No I hope thats not what you got from reading that.

Truth is we don't exactly know where he'll be used. KVN/Collins is the neighborhood and he displayed big flashes but only that. In part bc of UM but he has potential in a few spots which is always a good thing and something we value big time.

This is something I talked about a day or so ago. In the past as well.

Bill loves double dipping at schools. I hardly think we'll see Duggers teammates suiting up so be on the look out for another Michigan player later. Or w/e the next school we go after.

Michigan guys ... Hudson, Hill, DPJ, Metellus, Mckeon, Bredeson, Onwenu, Runyan...

He can start a fashion line, UcheBags

Notable that they traded up one pick ahead of the Titans to grab him. They have a strong track record trading ahead of teams in the second round to secure a target. And then this from Robinson:

Great blend of burst, bend & ability to utilize length at times. Looks comfortable and natural rushing the edge. Coiled up, 2pt/3pt stance. Decent array of moves around the corner. Showed some potential rushing B/C gap at times. Will use rip/dip, long arm but really jumps on you with his burst and ability to get long.

Potential as a situational rusher, blitz, delayed blitz. Off the ball/Los Swiss army type.

Decent recognition on what's coming in front of him in terms of blocks.

Shows good functional strength

Decent ID on reading QBs from the flat. He's an athlete that should be able to handle those types of duties.

+ chase/pursuit - backside.

Has the right attitude.

On the PTP board. Mentioned him as a potential Collins replacement recently.
Question for you. Given the nickel base we now run and uche being part lb part de, which players role do you see him most likely filling. I’ll list a few choices
Flowers
Simon (nink)
Van noy
Collins

Collins imo but others have said KVN and I can see that. I just think teams will see him as an off the ball type but we'll see.

Interesting. I was thinking simon/nink as really a de who moonlights as a lb.
thanks for the info.

I have 0 idea who this kid is but looking at his quotes and all the reports, I'm happy. Lets keep it going.

Uche shined in the Senior Bowl. I watched it live and was very impressed. Him and Dugger are good prospects. That being said, unless they can play TE & WR, our offense is gonna score 10 points a game. Once again TE and WR are being ignored when they are desperate needs.

The Pats are going back to the 2001 gameplan. Ball control and D. A time tested winning strategy in the NFL.

I like this pick but why the hell did we give away the extra pick we got to trade down to trade up for him?? Surely he’d have been there at 71. Frustrating

So now same question on Jennings.
After your uche answer I say nink/Simon and feel stronger about your uche answer.
