Rodgers was drafted in 05 and Favre left after 07 so Rodgers sat for 3 years. Still, with rookie pay scale now, hard to imagine that they'd have Love sit for three years.

It wouldn't have to be a deliberate tank, they could swing a deal with another team for their first rounder in 2021 betting they would end up with the worst record in the league in 2020 or close enough to it that a move-up to 1 would be doable.

If the Pats were inclined to deal 37 for Jags #1 next year - now would be the time to place a bet on the Jags as a team that would finish last next year giving the Pats first overall in the draft and hit the Trevor Lawrence jackpot. I don't see the Jags winning more than 3 games.
