It is intereresting that Schefter said that the Pats will get the same player at 37 that they would have at 23. Seemed to know who the player is, if he didn't misspeak or meant the same level of player. It is also a bit worrisome if the Pats have one guy in mind and know that he will still be there 14 picks later.
Unless you are drafting a guy you are confident no one else likes, there is simply no way you can ever be confident he will be there 14 picks later. Now, if they move back up in the second round, yes they targeted a guy, but if not they are just moving back and taking the best player available.

Don't we own LFG???

You draft for a career, not a year, but fair enough.

I agree with you, in general, but I'm not as sold on what we'd call "long-term potential" as I am on "short-term to mid-term potential", because I think it's less likely to pan out as hoped.

WTF is standing behind Vrabel, the guy is dressed as a sperm

Yeah, the problem with this thinking is that Bill has been brutal drafting in the 2nd round lately. I wonder if they traded back this year for financial reasons. Not sure why they can't do anything with Thuney.

He's actually pretty decent when he stays away from cornerbacks and safeties with a day-3 grade (e.g., Chung, GRONK, Collins, Light).

They've got 2 guys who's 2020 seasons are likely to be "ish". I'm marking down for that.
Probably, but I think they’re really targeting 2021 when Tua is ready.

Vrabel’s family is terrifying.

They certainly need to produce in year two and beyond but so many rookies struggle in year one that I give them a pass unless they look awful.

I agree. Also, Miami still has this next pick to add to their haul.

Wilson in the first. Wow. Another guy I thought would be a really reasonable choice if we picked up a second rounder. 29th is a bit rich for me, though.

Isaiah Wilson to the Titans

Dude's a monster (350 lbs)

Next years team is going to be dog ****. Bill is still drafting like he has Tom Brady to bail him out.

WOAT! Bill Belichick will go down in history as the man who cost the GOAT at least 4 or 5 superbowl victories! WOAT!

What’s going on at Mike Vrabel’s place? One guy in a Titans gimp suit and another with a mullet.

BTW, just saying . . . Aaron Rodgers's salary for 2020 is $1.5M. :p

Danny Ainge and Bill always maintain such a large warchest get's annoying when you rarely ever use it.
