You do realize that fans of every other team have said this for years right?

Yes I do know fans of every other team hated Brady and not only because he was a QB for the Pats.

Maybe you should get a life or some kind of identity outside of the following football.

If I could get out of bed more often, if I could eliminate my advanced case of stenosis, if I could get three 3 herniated disks in my back fixed, if I could eliminate my diabetes, if I could get a kidney and heart transplant and if I could find a way to reduce my age from 86, then maybe I could find something I could do other than be in constant chronic pain, on pain pills and on the Internet all day.

Good Suggestion KontradictioN, I will discuss it with my medical team, much appreciated.

I had a bad day today. Did Brady do or say anything that lit up the World? Or was it his usual selfish crap?

Well, he apparently trademarked “Tompa Bay” and “Tampa Brady”

I wish that was a joke.

Been seeing some videos of some of these Bucs players, who all seem to be thinking Super Bowl for them next year like Brady's going to wave his magic wand. i think they'll be a pretty good team but they are probably the 5 best team in the NFC behind NO, Seattle, SF, and GB. Brady is not going to get his annual bye, which he got with us, as there is no way they are going to be the 1 seed.

Lol! Just funny as a response to someone wondering what Brady did today. I was glad I wasn’t the one who had to respond.

I think people need to understand that Brady isn’t some evil dude now, a commercial sellout who doesn’t care about the game. We look back at how he used to be the anti-Manning with few commercials, not caring about that trappings of success, not caring about monetizing everything, etc.

And you know what he is now?

A guy who will be 43 in August.

A guy who is as old as your dad probably was when you were growing up. Someone who really understands business opportunities and doesn’t feel ashamed to capitalize on them.

I’m at peace with it, personality. Yes, it’s funny. It’s tragic. TOMPA BAY. But it’s really just a guy who, if he were most guys, would have already retired years ago and gone into business anyway. Seems Tom enjoys the commercial aspects of being Tom too.

He has handlers that push him to do certain things because they get a cut. I doubt he thought about trademarking those entirely on his own.

Green Bay sucks! They absolutely overachieved and fell into the #2 seed like the Chiefs. They would’ve folded like a lawn chair had they been on the road.

I don’t care what the Saints do in the regular season, they will choke in the postseason.

TB is definitely in the top 5.

it’s clear he cares more about just “winning the next one.” he has been pushing TB12 for years and tried to get trademarks in the past. he has turned himself into a business.

The dude films himself on vacation pumping his brand. Didn’t see any handlers on horseback with him.
Tomba is striving to achieve Tom Crusian levels of celebrity narcissism

Get your popcorn and your barf bag

He's an entertainer and a businessman near the end of doing what it is that made him famous. I hate to burst your bubble but he's not the dewy-eyed fourth string QB just hoping for a shot at he big time. He's not Tommy from Foxboro. He's an entertainer/athlete first and a businessman a very close second.

this told me nothing new

It’s amazing how fast some of you guys have become toxic about a guy that was your hero just 5 weeks ago.

You realize you can root for the Pats and still like Tom Brady and perhaps even root for him to do well, if that is your choice, without any contradiction?

Absolutely disgusting!!

Ya I wouldn’t even entertain GB as a contender and TB has a better defense and more explosive offense than Seattle. I’d put NO/SF/TB in the top tier contenders in the NFC and we need to see how Bress does this year. SF vs TB is good but Brady will shrewd that defense as he always does and you can’t trust Jimmy G

He could have easily said “please do not do that, it sounds like the worst sort of parody” but he did not. It’s clear he approved of this on some level. And it’s beyond cringeworthy.

Personally I See Tampa as the best team in the NFC now.

I see a SB hangover for SF.

The Saints have been so close the last few years but I think that window is getting smaller now. Brees is not the same.

Seattle I think will be the second best.

Green Bay should be right there but they seem to always find a way to underachieve.

Maybe I'm blinded by 20 years but I think TB instantly made them the best team in the NFC and he would have done that to a lot of rosters not just Tampa.

One thing the Colts had over the Pats was continuity on offense. Colts had more than enough fire power on offense and a more than capable defense to win more than they did. Manning routinely s*** the bed in ‘02, ‘05, ‘08, ‘09. Colts should’ve been winning it when the Pats couldn’t.

I’m still in shock Manning had the will to bring his team back the way he did in 2006.

The stat that says it all about Manning are the nine one-and-done playoffs, many times with the top seed.

Too much went against the Pats in 06 vs Indy, including sickness, sh!t calls and shenanigans.

I think it will take some time for Brady and the Bucs to get used each other. The Bucs are used to Arians and his "let's have a beer after the game even if we lose" type mentality. Brady is much more interested in watching film and thinking about the next game after he loses. Plus no OTAs and most likely no training camp. Their QB coach Clyde Christensen was on recently and said Tampa won't change much of it's offense to suit Brady since they don't want to make the entire offense learn the NE playbook. Brady has to learn the TB offense and that was a condition of him getting signed there. I see a 1 year transition period where TB will be pretty good (10-6 with their incredibly tough schedule). In 2021 I see Tampa being better but Brady will be 44 by then, so who knows.

To my knowledge he's the only NFL player filing for trademarks. You don't see Brees, Rodgers, or Mahomes doing it. Brady is clearly milking his celebrity status by treating himself as a business. Gronk and Edelman are similar, but to a much lesser extent.
