Very simplistic but nope, it doesn’t work that way
It 100% does

That would be a fair and - based on recent history especially - a completely logical assumption...Not a lot about special teamer Brandon Copeland here. I mean I'm just going to assume that any ST player on the market Bill is going to bring in.

In your fantasies, but in reality, nope .... you’re way off

Let me understand:
In your reality ---> Fewer chances = Better odds
In my reality ---> More chances = Better odds
"In your fantasies" you must be winning the Powerball on a monthly basis.
In your reality, veteran mentorship doesn't exist or doesn't matter. You aren't living in reality.

everything you just blubbered here is completely irrelevant
Statistics don’t apply to such a short sample set ... especially on something as random as humans
you’re talking at such a general level, you argument fails to make any valid point
I’m done with you....you don’t know what you’re talking about....end of story
It doesn't matter until you're confident you have somebody to mentor.
That’s pretty crazy. I remember Brady having a pretty solid mentor in Bledsoe.Really??? What happened to our win total odds when Hoyer was signed? Do you honestly believe there is a win total difference between a rookie/Hoyer/Stidham combo and a rookie/rookie/Stidham combo. So many teams take your approach and live in qb purgatory forever. Get young QB...Find untalented journeyman to "mentor"...Young QB flames out and isn't the answer...You spent that entire time wasting 2 spots on your roster...Start from square one again.
3 (or 4) spots on every roster for qbs. Every additional unknown increases your chances of finding one. Going with players like Hoyer decreases your chances of finding one.
Bill and and is love for ST players is similar to guys that are into a woman's elbows. Most prefer other aspects of a woman, but there are those few weirdos who dig strange stuff. Fetishes are mind boggling things.

Yes it's not like the Pats won 3 Superbowls off last second special teams plays or anything
.
Sure. But think about this. You're the New England Patriots. You just lost your QB due to probably not trying hard enough to show him "love". You just lost KVN, Collins a couple of other players. Most teams would be rushing to fill these holes or make an attempt to trade for a WR that Stidham could at least build rapport with. Bill for whatever reason has his sole focus on Special Teams. I could be wrong and maybe there's been other things going on behind the scenes that have not materialized. But aside from Hoyer and the WR that they signed from Arizona's practice squad (or bottom of the roster) its been all players who are pretty good ST talents. All well and good but these are players that you can probably find at the end of training camp. They already have Bolden and Slater as ace special teamers so I'm thinking its overkill.
Beau DT, Copeland LB, and Adrian SS were all signings I think you're overlooking
Beau is the only non special teamer out of those three.
Vrabel and Rodney also happened to play special teams but sounds like you would have dismissed their signings bc you don't like anyone with versatility to play ST ?
Not at all. I'm just saying as of right now these are special teams guys. Maybe they'll be more but for right now they have only made an impact on special teams
Why entrench yourself in this weird position. Adrian is a former all pro. Coprland put up 5 sacks in a year before. They did a lot than Vrabel did before joining. So who knows. Don't write them off as special teams guys
