Ah, well since you didn't see it, clearly that means it didn't happen.

When you say "people don't want to listen to him right now", you really mean, "I don't want to listen to him right now". And that's fine, but what you think/expect/want doesn't automatically become reality.

You claimed Biden wouldn't be getting airtime because of COVID, a mere 3 minutes later someone pointed out that he was on television this morning, and instead of admitting your assumption was wrong, you attempted to justify your initial incorrect assumption and denied reality because you "didn't see it".

You could have said something along the lines of, "Jeeze, yeah, I guess Biden is still finding a way to get some TV spots despite the mayhem, I missed the mark there".

This stuff is trivial and completely ancillary to the COVID discussion, but it really bothers me to see this level of disingenuity. Want to know why the political climate is so toxic, and why thoughtful discourse is out the window? Because we can't have a meaningful discussion about anything if basic truths and facts are contented or outright denied.

I meant trivial in the sense that drilling someone over their unwillingness to accept basic facts isn't (big picture) particularly important.

What is potentially troubling is the uptick of new cases and deaths in Singapore. It’s most likely due to the relaxation of some social distancing guidelines but it’s a signal Trump should pay attention to as he weighs relaxing similar guidance in the US.

I agree there would be some who would do that. Fortunately most people are sane enough to tell Trumps ego-laden-lies (boasting, whatever that feeds a classic narcissist's ego) from something that should be factual.

However, I would stipulate that there are 2x as many people who are willing to believe something negative about Trump without proof, just because they have it in their head that he is inherently evil (rather than just not being a good person).

the trend mainly in Lombardia is down from many points of view: not a bad day in this hard month, but it is not the time at all to say there was a victory or relax... focus must be the same but PROBABLY a light at the bottom of the tunnel is seen at least in Lombardia

How about your diatribe be directed to the GOP? The Mitch McConnell bailout plan does not include provisions that require that any banks taking fed money must suspend all foreclosures or late payment penalties.

Great article. Unfortunately, it is too late imo for any Suppression measures. Even mitigation isn't being enforced in a national fashion. If you notice majority of states with lock downs are lead by Democratic Governors. The Florida Governor has done very little to promote mitigation measures. Louisiana has now asked for lockdowns but Michigan hasn't. It's all over the place. Not ideal.
