The exchange lasted longer than the clip provided above. Trump already answered the guy's question, went to a different reporter, and the guy interrupted. In a previous question, he said the President was impulsive. Basically he's trying to trip him up.

Trump has heated exchange with NBC reporter over prospects of coronavirus treatment

...because patsfans doesn't have a 'WTF?' emoticon

Was that 1st clip a gotcha edit? Yes but it sure as hell wasn't a gotcha question and Britt Hume seriously dropped the ball saying it was. The PC and the aftermath all come off like a damn 'hold my beer' screw up contest to anyone with any objectivity.

Anyone who watched the full press conference should realize Anderson was basically giving a gift pitch when he tossed that softball question at Trump to get himself off the hook for his previous rudeness to the President. That was one Trump should have easily crushed out of the park. Something along the lines of the talking point that drove Pence's response of "Americans shouldn't be afraid, they should be vigilant" to the same damn question. Follow that with a core American values & resilience homily and just like that Anderson covers his ass & Trump looks good. Instead we get... whatever the bleep that crapshow with the two of them coming off bad was.

Trump isn't the damn antichrist that the bulk of the media wants to paint him as but at some point his apologists need to acknowledge he is fallible and also have to come to terms with the fact that when it comes to appearances and personal grace he doesn't have a Presidential bone in his body. And make no mistake, when it comes to morale and team building, in the absence of firm solutions and strong remedy, appearance matters a great deal to the average American. By way of reassuring a concerned populace a President needs to at least act the part if nothing else. A bit of personal grace and an understanding the whole world will see every exchange he has would have served President Trump really well right there.

Does the flu infect 300 million people in 2 weeks?

Yea I didnt think so.

Please point me to where you’ve found 300 million people have been tested and confirmed to have this

Otherwise, admit you’re talking completely out of your ass

I found it...

If you want to understand why people expect the sht to hit the fan in the next week and why the “thousands will die each day” prediction isn’t just some panic cry, you must read this. The logic and research is basically unassailable, and no, it doesn’t actually give numbers. But you’ll understand the numbers differently because you have to understand what Reported Illnesses and Reported Deaths actually mean. The number actual cases are far, far greater than the reported cases.

So read this for some perspective. Ignorance is no longer understandable.

It’s gonna get worse long before it gets better. I am also of firm belief that it was not a naturally occurring event. No way would they admit it was a bio weapon even mistakenly let loose because then China would be on the hook for the entire planets wrath and that’s not good for anyone. So they will say it is natural and has no traces of man made. I mean hell there is a bio lab right there and I don’t trust the Chinese as far a you can throw them.

I don’t believe that this virus just happened to come from eating bats just a few miles away from said lab. Just way too convenient no matter what the reported spin is on it.

Dont let facts get in the way.

We already know that each person infects up to an avg of 3 people.

If the math doesnt add up then people are being willfully ignorant.

*edit for clarification... I didnt mean YOU. just those who are being obtuse.

You right, every state and multiple countries are just in complete shut down because this virus doesn't infect people at a rapid rate and every person in charge of making these decisions are irrational and insane.

300 mil people infected seems like a huge leap to make but I guess you just think everyone else is in panic mode while your opinion of the matter is supported by lack of facts because the government wont test its people unless you have a sallary some where in the 10 to 15 mil a year or more.

Now would be the time to put china to a stop IF THEY DID THIS on purpose.

But they didnt because they couldnt keep that a secret. Impossible

We would be damn fortunate if it has infected 300 million in 2 weeks, because the death rate would be minuscule, and we would have herd immunity before Easter.

I realize his response wasn't the best, but the reporter was annoying him with his previous question and then interrupted him as he was calling on another reporter. His answer was impulsive and it's what Trump does. The above tweet should have captured the whole conversation.

And i don't think he's the greatest president since sliced bread. In fact, there are a handful of presidents I'd rather have.

I don’t think it was on purpose. It’s China. Do some testing on Bats which is what they were doing as they are the carrier. Bat tagged for destruction somehow makes it to the wet market. Just saying kinda odd there is a bio lab right there.

I have no proof or allegation they did it on purpose.

**** the 10500000 people who die in the meantime I guess.

11,000 have died to date - worldwide. And the virus has been around for over 15 weeks. Yes, it is serious. Saying it is going to infect 300 million in 2 weeks makes you a loon.

Challenger speech had a brilliant quote in it, and everybody should learn that iambic pentameter is for moments when one should be stately...

"To slip the surly bonds of earth and touch the face of God."

But you tell me... Peggy Noonan (though I am not sure this was hers) vs. Stephen Miller? Who's going to win that epic rap battle of history?

Why is there no facepalm emoji?

That's from a poen about World War I, I believe.

Still, Noonan outdid herself on that one, but I doubt anyone could have delivered it better than Reagan. Like I said, particularly in retrospect, I really don't like the guy's economic policies and some of the other things he did (AIDs, Iran-Contra, death squads), but in the moments when we needed a figurehead to calm or inspire - Challenger, the assassination attempt - he was up to the task.

I didnt say it. The CDC and WHO are the one giving those numbers.

Now isnt the time to ignore precautions by being a skeptic.

I don’t know if I’ve ever argued with someone so truly clueless about the subject at hand

11000 people have died out of 250,000 confirmed cases worldwide. While the number of cases is no doubt much higher, the death toll isn’t.

but somehow in your fantasy land we’re headed for 300,000,000 cases and 10,500,000 dead

I loved Regan. He was the perfect President for those days. "Tear down the wall"

That reporter was trolling. Trump slapped his ass. Good.

I refuse to listen to character assassinations anymore. Ranging from "Pocahantis to biglies". I find all of it incredibly childish.

Tell me your policies and your plans for the US.

It was a softball question. it was the kind of question that halfway-skilled politicians can hit out of the park with their eyes closed.

Reagan the communicator was amazing, comforting, funny as hell with his wit, tough as nails when he had to be. His policies for the US middle class sucked, but that's one measure of a president and not the only one, and in times of crisis, not even the most important one.

Chinese virus ain’t got s*** on spring breakers!
