Brady gone

Their defense was actually very good. They had to defense 30 INTs from Winston.

I think Brady can make the Bucs into solid contenders in the NFC South and possibly the NFC at large.

I'm not going to thank TFB for 20 years of awesomeness. He doesn't read this, and he knows how grateful we are.

I'm surprisingly ok with all this. I hate to see it end, but it had to at some point. I wish it would have been with him hoisting #7, with the Rooneys and ****zburgh fans crying in their meth, but it is what it is.

I never bought a Brady jersey. I never wanted him to leave. I guess I will now.

I'm not even super sad. But I'm thankful for the best run in NFL history and Tom ****IN Brady was a huge huge part of it. It won't likely be repeated in my lifetime. I'm happy when I look back on it.

On to the next chapter...

I wouldn’t bet on that in that division and that conference.
hes going to realize what he had here. and he's going to miss it. and I'm not even talking about the roster. I'm talking about the entire culture. the discipline. the commitment from everybody in the patriot's organization. I'm not a betting man. but if i was. i would bet he's done winning super bowls. he's not going to turn the bucks into a sb winning team at 43.

This isn't a Favre/Rodgers situation where they only won one SB each. Or Brees only winning one in NO. Or Marino never winning one. Six SB wins. Could've had more. Could've had less. But no regrets. Nothing was left on the table. No underachieving. Brady and the Pat's lived beyond anyone's expectations.

Thought you wanted him gone anyway. Sounds like the team did too. What's he supposed to do?

I got family in Tampa. Lived, got married and had kids there out of college from Mass. Definately going to go see him play if true.
Definitely a good financial move for Tampa if they can make it happen, it will raise the profile of the franchise.

Yet I think it will take a lot more than TB12 to change the culture of the organization, and IMO Arians is a bad match for Tom.

Tom comes across as meticulous and logical, Arians comes across as loosie goosie and blustery.

I think Tom will soon figure out he knows more than Arians but will have less overall power so it'll be a weird dynamic.

I have family in the area so who knows maybe I'll go see a game, but then again I'm pretty happy with a wide screen and a cold beverage.

No doubt that hurts things. However, it hurts all of the teams. NE will also be hurt by that.

True. But I am not talking about NE. I’m to those who think he will light it on fire from day 1 in Tampa. This hurts him more than it does the Pats. People just need to understand this.

Never doubt the Goat. With those weapons I’d never count him out.

Not getting why you can't just wish him well. Why the hate man. It was a mutual parting of ways. It is what it is.

He probably already does. That doesn’t mean the Bucs don’t give him a good shot at #7. Not sure how many of their games you caught last year up there (I would assume 0 since it’s hard to believe they’d ever be on in Boston unless they were playing the AFCE), but they’re pretty well stacked. Their one weakness was a QB who threw as many INTs as he did TDs. That’s not happening with Brady. The guy is 43 but he threw for 4,000+ yards, 24 TDs, and 8 INTs with what was undoubtedly the ****tiest WR and TE positional groupings in the NFL. He should thrive in Tampa.

Now some people think Tampa would be a favorite? My god. This is the same QB who couldn’t hit the put routes most of the time and that was with White and Edelman.

Geeez

hes 43 years old. he's not the brady of 5 years ago. new system. new everything. he won't be healthy enough to play into feb at a high level at his age. they love to throw bombs down there. not a brady strength.

This would almost assuredly not be an offense so highly based on timing. I doubt they’re installing the E-P in any capacity over there. Edelman was also badly injured. That means he can’t be in the spot where the ball is supposed to be when the ball is supposed to be there.

Sounds like hope more than reason. And they throw as many underneath and intermediate routes as the next team. I’ve watched them a lot. Their games are constantly aired on Fox up here. We will see.

People who say he can't throw deep are embarrassing themselves. Throwing "deep" isn't even a good test of arm strength. It's the intermediate throws, and their velocity and accuracy, that wins games and championships.

Also, who was the deep threat last year that Brady couldn't get the ball to? I also heard about how bad his deep throws were in 2006.

Sounds like hope more than reason.
a little bit of both. you can't underestimate age. I know what happens when you get into your 40s. I don't care what he eats and how pliable he is. nobody beats father time. and you don't just change physically. you change mentally.

It's called anger. And I am not happy with the way they have treated this guy. And the way this has ended sucks. You idiots think QB's like this grow on trees? Get ready to suck.

Not even an "I'll be happy to be wrong"?
