It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Robert Kraft told me "if Tom wanted to remain a Patriot, we would have had a deal." Said Brady believes it was best to turn the page and start a new chapter of his life in football and beyond.
Unfortunately, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement to allow the dream to become a reality.
Not really. Last season was a mirage. A lot of things went wrong. No personnel.
If bill thinks stidham is the guy i hope he has a better offense than the one out in place right now or maybe they’re looking to get that number 1 pick or just go 8-8 or 7-9.
Well, I mean, I am all for “team over player” but while Brady didn’t light the world on fire - his campaign at 42 (!) years old is pretty epic.
One could easily argue that if 2019 was Brady’s last year, he “came out on top”. Not many 30 year olds could do what Brady did last season.
Team first, but Brady was NOT embarrassing last year - by any metric.

I think the lack of personnel had a lot to do with it but there was also some decline in toms game. Not as steep as Manning’s was but still there. He needs the talent around him at this point. It’s not 2006 anymore.
They need to acquire a starting caliber TE & a deep threat ASAP
BB killing it with the draft compensation picks again.
Too soon?
lol we going QB by committee now?Bring back Brissett. Brissett, Stidham, Kessler is solid.
He needs guys that can get open point blank. Nobody did that this season with the exception of edelman.
I’ve taken dumps after a night of drinking bourbon more solid than that.Bring back Brissett. Brissett, Stidham, Kessler is solid.
and a year older this year......like I said, you don’t fork 50m plus to a 43 year old
Me believes that Krafts shenanigans at the Orchid day spa had more than a small part in Brady leaving.
Gisselle is all about PC and I find it hard to fathom that she was not in Toms ear to get out of NE. Furthermore, that video of Brady leaving a seedy nondescript looking building was really odd like it was directed at Kraft.
I’m oddly okay with this. This is sports, not some relationship you are intending to die together with. We always knew Brady would not be on this team someday. If anything there was a time 6 seasons ago before this amazing second run where that looked like a possibility. In the end Brady ushered in the greatest dynasty in the history of his sport and he did it with our team.
We had magical runs like 2001, the technical powerhouses of 03 and 04, the heartbreaks of 2007, the redemptive feeling of 14, the most amazing spectacle in 16, and a final victory lap a year ago.
This isn’t Peyton Manning leaving the Colts and the org feeling like they left something on the table. This isn’t wushu washy Farve going out to spite the Packers. This isn’t Montana being pushed aside for Young while he was breaking down. This feels like a man completed a part of his career and both sides looked at the resume and said they were satisfied with what’s on it and want to prepare for the next phase.
This is a case if being grateful for what you got to experience and moving on with a smile of what was.
Come December STH will be offloading ducats at 50% face on Ticketmaster...some folks will be able to take their families to games and not just one kid...
Folks, the offense was literally in the bottom 10 in the NFL the last 8 games in a massive # of stats...we basically have the same terrible offense coming back without Brady....
Stidham is in a no win situation...kind of like Pete Carroll in 97
