The Tom Brady rumor thread

I like to get all of my life takes from guys facing 12-18 years in prison on a sexual assault conviction. That's especially true when it's a take that actual military people have dismissed as idiocy.
The video was meant as a joke as I find it funny when people compare a game to war. However, from my experience playing football, your opponent does really have the intent of hurting you.

My response was specific to Winslow. I wasn't bagging on you. My apologies if it came off as if I were.

Are you still on his ignore list?

Not sure but he's still a jackass. He knew exactly what Joker meant and he still needed to be a **** because he can't help himself.

The only way he stays is if nobody else wants him. Pats don’t have the resources and time to get the pieces around for a 43 year old QB. Losing a 2nd round pick for Sanu really hurts. Not to mention, there’s hardly anybody available in FA that could help TB. And don’t bother mentioning Emmanuel Sanders, that ship sailed.

It’s a no brainer for the 49ers. Sign Brady, ditch Jimmy (who gets traded back to NE) and in two years the 49ers sign Kirk Cousins.

Stop listening to weei

He drafted Jimmy and developed TB12 and even made Cassel productive. If we want to eval BB's ability to draft QBs its pretty freaking good.

I meant his drafting overall...but yes he's done well on QBs

Football is a war game. You take a side. Players go down or leave...that's a casualty. Replace and continue the battle. The winning SIDE is what's important.
Kraft (along with Belichick) made the big commitment to Bledsoe in 2001.

Brady has more than earned the same treatment today, in 2020.

It's best for the team.

BB has been great at acquiring talent that wins.

That's really all that matters.
Don’t understand why people can’t see this. The constant crankiness when it comes to BB’s choices is mind boggling.

His record is almost impossible to believe. The number of players that come into the system is immense. The players that leave rarely play as well once they are gone. The fact that it includes defensive players means Brady isn’t “the only reason”.

BB the GM isn’t bad. He’s not only “good”. BB the GM would be a HoFer.

Agree that BB the GM is actually incredibly underrated. The draft is only on e piece of the track record. The most important outcome is obviously wins and SB's. By that criteria, BB is the greatest GM ever.

OFC if all the armchair GM's here at patsfans were in the NFL BB would be well below average, the standard of play across the league would increase a thousand fold and the HoF would need a new wing just for them.

I’ve been thinking the Raiders (if Brady leaves) for awhile due to their complete offense besides a WR1 & the draft capital/cap space to acquire talent. I didn’t buy the Titans because Brown/Humphries/Davis/Smith wasn’t appealing to Brady IMO.

Brady has since tweeted public support & liked another AB’s tweet yesterday.

Antonio Brown
AJ Brown
Adam Humphries
Jonnu Smith

Will the circus himself be the deciding factor if Vrabel allows him to join Tom?

how do you stop that offense? Last year teams were putting 9 in the box and still couldn’t contain Henry, with those WRs you can’t even have 8 in the box.

The Titans
Would be very tough with Brady

That's a great way to put it.

How so? You actually think he can do one of these 2 different situations? 1. Attend and take the average starter reps at every camp, and every regular season practice and game snap? I bet he can’t. His body at 43 won’t be able to tackle that abuse.

2. Take the usual no voluntary camps, take massive time off in training camp and then miss practices and or snaps for maintenance. Can you do number 2 and at the same time as learning a new offense, getting on the same page as your receivers that you have never played with, like ever.

People AND TB will both will quickly realize the utter mistake he made in leaving NE.

Looks like Bob is getting out word to the press that his hands are squeaky clean of this. How strange...he was frequently pumping himself up when the previous Brady extensions got done, pointing out to the press how he handled the complicated negotiations.

In fact, there’s a victory lap in this very article. Love how he talks to King Dolt, Peter King, who wont ask him how he can simultaneously say he doesn’t meddle in personnel decisions but takes credit for this personnel decision.

Curran: Kraft to the rescue? No, this is between Tom and Bill

The fact is, Kraft had thought he drew up the contract to take Brady into retirement back in 2013. The modest five-year, $57M agreement drawn up on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles took Brady through his 40-year-old season in 2017. It allowed the team plenty of maneuverability to sign other players.

Speaking to Peter King about the deal, Kraft said he “[Wanted] to do something elegant that would work for everybody. I had been talking to him off and on for maybe 18 months, about how I wanted him to finish his career here, and about how we both have to be smart about it. I just really want him to end his career a Patriot.”
