OP, thanks for sharing....people forget that the Pats players are real people, with many of the same issues as us normal folk. My neighbor up the street in my row home community north of Baltimore was Don Shinnick, #66, outside linebacker for the Colts in the 50-60's. All the kids idolized him because he was a Colt, but even more so because he came out in the back alley and played catch with us, helped out at the church down the street, taught Sunday school and was just a great person. There are a lot of players just like Don Shinnick and Tom Brady. The author did a great job of conveying that message.

I love Tom and think he's great, but this article does come off as celebrity worship. I doubt she gushes over Bob the carpenter's parenting in private, much less to the entire planet.

Damn straight! You'll never see any gushing over Tom Brady on THIS website!

In the meantime, she's not gushing over his parenting. She's gushing over the fact that he goes out in public in freaking Boston with all us weirdos who have nothing better to do than to talk about him 24 hours a day. If I were him in his spare time, I wouldn't want to be within 1,000 feet of me.

Here's some news for ya, Adult. Bob the carpenter going out in public to watch his son play ball in a little league with 20-30 parents on the sideline is a BIT DIFFERENT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE than it is for Tom Brady in Boston. It must be a LOT less comfortable for Brady.
