Josh McDaniels News and Rumors

Word up on the failed interview is that Josh refused to disclose Patriots Cheating Plan for 2020

Likewise.

McDaniels is considered to be one of those at the top of the O.C. ladder, and his play calling is often used to demonstrate "how to" to viewers. But do keep prattling on.

Reportedly Haslam wants Josh and Depodesta wants Stefanski. This will be a measure of how much power Haslam wields. If this was the Cowboys and Jerry Jones, Mrs McD would already be picking out new drapes.

Haslam's the owner. He wields the ultimate power.

Cleveland Messageboards are reporting the Browns are interviewing Salehs choices of GMs.

Browns interviewing Ed Dodds of Indianapolis, worked with Saleh in Seattle. Read the tea leaves.

This is such bullsh*t. They draft at the end of every round every year but are still the most successful franchise in football history. Just because his picks don’t line up with the binkies on this board doesn’t es not mean they draft poorly, and every long term study of league drafting has them at the top.
He won 6 SB’s. But he sucks. Incredible

My guess is Bill isn’t crying over any of this.

But, but, but . . . they cheat, it’s all Brady, they’re lucky, blah, blah, blah.
It’s just stupid that people suggest Brady will leave because he wants to go to a team with a better chance to win.
I chalk it up to entitlement derangement syndrome.

Browns are likely waiting for other candidates that are coaching this weekend.

Next years browns team will suck just as much as this year.

McDaniels isnt a miracle worker.

If Josh stays here, fine, he isnt sabotaging our chances of winning so I have no strong feelings about him one way of the other.

You said brady would retire before he leaves.

We now know that he isnt retiring next year. Period.

If brady leaves, he isnt going to choose a team that doesnt gave weapons so yea, he will choose a team that gives him the best chance to win.

Wether or not that's HIS decision is beyond any factual evidence anyone currently has.

Really?

Let's say that Josh leaves, Thuney moves on. Devein retires, and Andrews retires. The bionic man says that he would like to retire, but will play of Brady comes back.

Sure, the patriots would have a chance. Belichick will make sure that the defense is close to what it was in 2019. But, make no mistake, Brady WILL get beat up if he stays (even if Develin and Andrews are back). Maybe, Brady will have only two more injuries before the playoffs. Is it really reasonable to expect that Bill will bring in 2 TE's, 2 WR's and 2 OL's (and perhaps a FB)?
=====
Yes, Brady wants a chance to win another SB in the next 2-3 seasons. He also would like to be able to walk when he retires.

Is it possible that there are teams with much better offenses for Brady to lead, where Brady will be MUCH better protected? Might Brady prefer on of these teams? I think so; it certainly is a reasonable possibility for Brady to consider.

If this true, it explains fully why this is such a crappy job. McDaniels is not desperate enough to attach his future to this sh-t show.

Let me explain what rumors like this mean. Stefanski is the choice. If he succeeds, no one is going to care what Haslam “wanted”. But, if Stefanski flames out, then he’s DePodesta’s guy and DePodesta walks the plank with Stefanski.

He will choose the patriots. The only way he leaves us if Belichick goes insane.

You are reaching on every single point. They don't need to totally rebuild the offense, nor does using caps on certain words give your words more meaning. They aren't going to lose everyone, others will improve, and yes BB will draft/bring new people in. Brady's best chance is here because of BB, just like BB's best and really only chance is getting Tom back.

So you are one of those guys that thinks the patriots are a team that isn’t going to build a competitive roster and what they have in March is all they sill have in September? I’ll make note of that but you should go some patriots history research.

They don't need to totally rebuild the offense

They might, which is his point. They need

2 TEs
4 WRs
LG
C
Swing OT
FB

That's 8 of 11 positions, not counting the Brady situation. Now, if you want to try arguing in favor of the stiffs currently scheduled to be under contract at those positions, you're welcome to do so. It's one hell of an uphill battle, but maybe you're up to the task. Just remember to include his hypos about Develin, Thuney, and Andrews.

I don't agree with that at all. The LG is mostly gone they can replace him cheap as long as Wynn Improves and the C returns. We don't know for sure Andrews isn't coming back. The FB might also return, if not the backup will. Your list is worst case scenario doomsday list. We don't need 4 WRs we just need to make sure we have 3 threats on the field. You can do that many ways with a TE or running backs. We don't need to blow the bank on 6 skill offensive players. Harry/Meyers need to improve and bring in loads of other guys to compete like last year. Draft one in the first round for sure. We would be playing at home today/tomorrow if we had just a little bit more.

They don't need 4WRs.
