Is Dorsett still on this Team??

So far. The book is most certainly not yet closed on Sanu.
Sanu has always been a slow possession receiver who under performs. I hope he steps up now that the ankle is a bit better, but I am still skeptical that he has it in him

That thread has been gutted. It used to be good, with a lot of knowledge being posted, but all the in fighting has dwindled it to 3 pages of PP2 posting insights from the analysts. I appreciate those posts because it explains plays in an understandable way without all the drama.
Yeah, it’s dying then from the sound of it. @PP2 is a good poster and makes an honest effort, but they might as well just name that thread the “Official Appeal to Authority” thread. Both Chatham and Lazar are just making educated guesses and the former is doing so with a pro-Patriot slant. When I started getting the “stop attacking me” responses like a little girl that found herself as last “man” standing in dodgeball and started getting my posts removed from the thread was when I was done with it. I just put it on ignore as soon as I see it now. It’ll die a slow death if all it becomes is posting Tweets and not much else.

Pretty clear it’s not about learning. If it was, posts that incite discussion but go against preconceived notions wouldn’t be reported by some of the lil’ *****es in there to be removed. Hasn’t been about learning and teaching for well over a year now. It’s about some weird and narcissistic need to use Tweets instead of original thought to puff one’s chest out and make oneself out to be knowledgeable. Doesn’t fool anyone, but if it makes them happy then who am I to rain on their parade?

Desperation move. They also spent a 1st on harry. Instead of a third on MacLaurin. Drafted a big cb who hasn't seen the field instead of fred warner who would have been a great safety a bigger chung.

So far, Sanu is no Wes Welker. But I suppose there is a higher standard because of the historical success of past trades for wide receivers in New England. Looks like Sanu is struggling to pick up the offense and get involved, but we will need him to play better down the stretch.

Right now Harry, the rookie, looks slightly better than Sanu, the veteran, since Harry at least has the versatility and speed to carry the ball on jet sweeps. But not's not saying much when they both only average 2-3 catches per game.

Sanu's game by game stats with New England:
2/23
10/81/1
2/4
3/14
1/13
2/13
3/24

Total 23 catches 172 yards 1 TD

Harry's game by game stats with New England:
2/21
3/18
1/10/1
0
1/12
2/15/1
2/21

Total 11 catches 97 yards 2 TDs + 6 rushes 58 yards 1 TD

(game stats from pro-football-reference.com as of 12/23/19)

Quite honestly though they are both rather disappointing in terms of total raw production and also in consideration of capital used, a 2nd round pick for Sanu and a 1st round pick for Harry.

Gotta love hindsight drafting. Oh, and that big corner was on the field this past weekend, FYI.

When they got him I was really hoping for Sanders. He had injury concerns and I wonder if that did it, or if they really did like Sanu that much. I would love to see them dress JE11 but sit him and put Sanu in the slot against Miami.

That’s just because you expected too much.
I completely, emphatically disagree here.

100% effort in Doing Your Job is the MINIMUM required of him here...and he has been a complete, abject Failure at doing even that...

Looking on the sunny side, Sanu has sucked mostly, but I’m predicting he plays much better in the playoffs.

Traded Chandler Jones for a second round pick and a bag of magic beans.

Wasted second rd pucks on Ras IR, Tavon Wilson, the guy from Stanford and a long and exhausting list of DB busts.

The only reasonable explanation is that BB hates second rd picks!

That is a thread I personally enjoy reading when I have the time, so if it has become a problem I will make an effort to watch it the rest of this season and make sure the kind of stuff you're describing doesn't happen. It is a thread that requires everyone to stay on topic, but that doesn't mean it should completely disallow discussion or disagreement. Disagreement does not equal argument if everyone is an adult about it. I welcome your feedback next week if you're up to checking it out again. My Mondays are busy (especially this one after a week off of work) but I'll do my best to keep a close eye on it.

Belichick was also reportedly trying to trade for Sanu for years, he definitely saw something in him.
What that "something" was, and obviously still is, remains a complete mystery...except for proving, again, that Bill doesn't know WTF he's doing regarding that position...Hell, he even has his Special Teams coach as his WRs coach, a position which Judge has not played or taught AT. ANY. LEVEL...and it shows...How fecked-up is that?

The pats traded the 55th overall pick in the 2020 draft for:

379 snaps
51.9% catch rate
24.2 yards per game
1 TD
0.89 yards per route run (86th)

Statistically speaking the worst starting WR in the Brady BB era

2006 had a rough crew.

TD absolutely robbed and schooled BB on this trade. BB will probably use his first round pick to get a 2nd and a third round pick. He can't go into a draft without having a second rounder. He will give away all his first to get seconds. ayyee.., then trade the 2 seconds for two fourth rounders.
I love the man and his strategy works so I am not complaining, but Sanu is like Richards.

He is as useless as Harry, which is saying something. 55 overall would have been nice
