Uh yeah because Brown has the NFLPA at his disposal. He wasn’t an employee, so what use does a union have to back a non-employee who has every right to sign?

And we've seen the power of the NFLPA when it comes to investigations and the league's power to punish players. Brady sure had the NFLPA behind him and got nowhere. Plus threatening women is a huge optics issue for the league. They would have exempt him, not suspended, from playing until they completed an investigation at the time of their choosing . You don't follow how the league has screwed players.
