Do you think they’ll pay top of the line money for 2 guards? Not saying he isn’t worth it, but I’ve kind of viewed Mason and Thuney as either/or. I guess they do have the luxury of Wynn being on a rookie deal and Cannon being relatively cheap for a veteran starting tackle, so they’re not spending big money there. They did pay big money to Light and Mankins at the same time before so there is precedent.
No it isn’t. You can guarantee him 50m and make 3rd year a dummy one. Cap hit would be under 20 first two years. 39m in 2022 on last year of Stidham’s rookie contractWithout clarity on Brady and his contract there is not much to discuss. Thats about 50% of the cap space right there.
This is a copy-cat league. Ravens are surging.
Is it time to copy them?
They caught lightning in a bottle. From getting Jackson at the end of RD1, on the cheap. To injuries, ball bouncing there way & completely catching the league off guard. From a physical, personnel & discipline standpoint the NFL just wasn't ready. This is a copy-cat league. Ravens are surging.

No that’s already on books. My reply was to guy who said extending TB12 would eat half of remaining cap spaceAre you taking into consideration that Brady has 6.75M in dead money that needs to be accounted for?

I think that he’s talking about Brady accounting for approximately 25m of an available 50m (for 2020), and to me that seems reasonable. After all, you wouldn’t be signing him to a multi-year deal. It would be a one year thing or what they’d refer to as “year to year.”No that’s already on books. My reply was to guy who said extending TB12 would eat half of remaining cap space

It's possible Bill pisses off Tom and he walks. It's also possible Tom spurns Kraft and BillOr Brady wants to come back and BB says “Thanks, but no thanks, Tom”. If that possibility doesn’t enter your (the collective you) mind after watching his play this year, your Brady worshipping is clouding your judgement.

Obviously we need to lock down some wideouts if we intend to roll with Brady.
What are your hope and who is available?
This is easily the worst offense we've had under the brady years and I think its obvious we need to lock some down.
Agree with everything here. But I'm convinced Gronk is done. Some of the comments he's made just leads me to believe he doesn't miss the grind.I'm hopeful Brady will be re-signed. I believe he was injured and I think he can still play well with better personnel on offense. With Edelman injured and doubled on top of it, the Pats had nothing.
If Gronk comes back, that could help sway Brady to give it another go. So much cascades down from Gronk, from pass blocking, to run blocking, to safety outlet for Brady, to opening things up for other receivers.
Mccourtys are probably gone. Devin almost retired last year, and I don't see Jason coming back without Devin, especially given JC Jackson and J Jones are pushing for more time. Hopefully JoeJuan can step up, I think Chung's effort is unquestionable but it'd be nice to have a 6'3" actual cornerback to help out on those TEs.
I'm still hopeful of another run or two. I don't think the team is that far off. Defense has potential to be pretty good again even given FA losses and Gronk and a WR could be enough. It's doable.
Thuney is much better than Mason IMO. Looks like they jumped the gun with the wrong guy and hopefully doesn't bite them in the ass.Do you think they’ll pay top of the line money for 2 guards? Any current HC who was in the NE system, whether as a coach or player, seems to have some success against Bill.
They said it during the game, that BB’s regular season record against his former assistants was 12-11. That was before today’s loss. And it presumably doesn’t include Vrabel who would make it 12-13.
