I smell a thumbs down from you but here goes. The real risk for signing ab is cap space. Most owners are so rich burning money is not a huge concern. Cap space is a huge concern for every team. If you sign him and he goes nuts or lands on the exempt list you can ruin your cap situation. We already have him counting 5 mil on our cap this year and 5 mil next year. Therefore we are in the unique position of only losing money if we sign him.

You have a guy who's a Hall of Famer in his prime, yet unlike, say, Kareem Hunt (a good but not special running back who was taped kicking his girlfriend) he hasn't been signed by anyone.
