I think things are aligning nicely for Tom to - in his final and most unlikely turnaround - win his 7th ring and then retire.
No athlete has overcome doubts, long odds, “impossibilities” as much as Brady. Now he’s getting full binders worth of doubters every day, being written off by every publication and talk show. The stage is set for one final physics defying act of triumph.
The offense sucks at the moment but this is the NFL. Many times we see offenses and defenses just suddenly turn it around without much explanation. I expect the Patriots to finally start looking like the Patriots against them Chiefs, as I said last week they would bottom out with a loss at Houston before putting it together. They realize they won’t win games without making big plays and being more aggressive.
Tom specifically told Gisele “just two more” in his documentary, and the number 7 is significant in American sports as no star player in the modern era has achieved it. I think he’ll realize it’s time to be a full-time father. The only issue is that it’s in direct conflict with his tremendous will to prove he can play into his mid-40s, but I think after the grind and frustration of this season, he’s going to walk into the sunset with a final SB MVP. He didn’t come this far just to come this far.
