Can harry get open down the field? Seems like every route is short. I didn’t have him as a top 5 wideout in the draft.

Lol. So you’re the one. Thanks, I needed that.

People giving up on Harry after 3 games (or any rookie wide receiver) after missed so much practice time is insane. He is clearly not ready make a consistent impact but that doesn’t mean he won’t be with more experience in this offense.

And here’s a hot take: I believe that he would be more productive with Stidham at quarterback. Meyers too. I’m not saying the team would be better off in general, of course but those two guys would definitely see the ball more often. Someone Myers did not seem to be running the wrong routes in preseason Stidham was throwing to him. Maybe it is a mental/intimidation thing for the rookie as well.

This may have been posted already but I don’t have the time to look through all of the posts. This slow motion look really does show what an obvious call this was. This is either intentional or incompetence on the part of the umpire. I’m not sure which is worse.

They still deserved to lose the game but this is outrageous.

Harry’s problem is his slow release off the line. It’s amazing how Meyers looks much smoother then him within the first 10 yards. That was the knock on him. He’s 225 with a lot of muscle. He has the same body type as michael thomas but thomas is much more leaner.

Yeah they were getting over the flu. Pass D was uncharacteristically bad tonight. I thought the run defense was solid.
In all fairness the pass D practices against the slow Pats receivers. Who do they have to practice against with speeds like Fuller, Stills, Hill, etc.

I think we lose to KC .And now dalton is playing well . So we may lose to cincy . And then OMG the bills at home with that defense. They are bound to win at some point. And I am sure after miami beat that eagles team scoring 37 pts against whom we just scored 17 we have a realistic chance of losing that too....Will we make the playoffs ? OMG. We suck!Brady is done. When have we ever seen this franchise fix its problems .
Never underestimate the Red Rifle, he is clutch. :D:D

Did anyone else notice when BOB threw the challenge flag towards the end how they showed BB mumbling into the headset "that fv$%ing BOB" LMFAO
Bill was pizzed, didn't even want to shake at the end.
Gonna be a brutal week of practice.

This was called out during the GDT. It was so blatant Stevie Wonder saw it.

Believe it or not, I’ll call this week a wash for the Patriots championship chances.

They fell to second in the conference, which may turn out to be a huge impediment, time will tell. I’m guessing the Patriots still control their destiny and 14-2 will get the first seed, as the Ravens finish with two tough divisional games.

But where’s the bright spot here? The only team in the NFL I believe the Patriots cannot beat, the San Francisco 49ers, fell from 1st to 5th in the NFC playoff race. Another one where time will tell if that sticks. But the Patriots have the talent and personnel to play competitive ball with any team...except the 49ers (who are in my opinion not just the best team in the NFL, but a total wrecking ball of a matchup against New England head to head.)

Just looked at the ESPN Playoff Machine. If the 49ers lose at New Orleans next week, they’ll be 10-3, probably 12-3 heading into week 17 where they play Seattle. Meanwhile Seattle may very well be 13-2 going into that matchup. But here’s the thing: even if SF wins, Seattle wins the tiebreaker and the division. So, root for the Saints next week because the 49ers likely would not get a bye if they lose that game. I think the Patriots can beat New Orleans and Seattle, who both feast on big explosive plays and superstar offensive players. Neither defense is close to SF, who are at all three levels just a terror for the Patriots offense.

Whoa! I'm generally a 'let them play unless it's an obvious penalty' but I'd use that video as 'here's an example of the obvious type to call'. That was egregious.
Another was, forget the Patriot defender name, the Texan receiver just grabbing the defender by the jersey and very forcefully flinging him sideways-backwards, and they called that holding on the Patriot defender. That was at best a non call, at worst (if flag is thrown) an offense penalty. I don't recall if that had repercussions but after seeing that replay I was like "wow! That's like getting mugged and assaulted, then the police showing up and arresting you".

What was that sport on TV on Sunday night? The Texans were playing NFL football. NE???!?

Dorsett.

Apologies if this has been discussed earlier, but could someone explain to me what happened on the onside kick?

If Bolden had batted it forwards but inbounds and the Pats had recovered would it have been the Pats' ball? If so, where would it have been spotted? And there was a penalty flag thrown. Was that because of the kick going (indirectly) out of bounds or for some other reason?

Thanks.

I freaked the hell out as soon as I saw it on Sunday night. That was a terrible non-call. The guy threw him down before Watson even got the ball off.

The flag was against the kicking team due to the ball going out of bounds. If the ball had managed to stay in bounds and NE had recovered, it would’ve been spotted wherever the recovery had occurred.

Thanks. That's what I thought (the announcers didn't bother to explain).

say what?

ps. more more leaner?

I guess one of the problems with WR’s may be coaching:
1) joe judge has too many responsibilities. He is the WR coach, special teams coordinator and finishing his PHD. Too many things for 1 person to do well.
2) No coaching help from Backup QBs. They are new to the Patriot’s system and they are too busy learning their own position. Not having Brian Hoyer hurts WR development.
