Objectively speaking, what do you even do at this point? Your WR corps consists of 2 rookies; an average joe (at best) in Dorsett; Sanu is decent(?); and Edelman. Feels easily defended and lacks any sort of intimidation. Old Watson seems good for 1 good play a game, and the other tight ends are just roster spots. Realistically speaking, this team has a 2013/2015 offense to work with, minus 2015 Gronk.

That 2015 offense started off hot. That was Lewis' first year IIRC? God I'd love an offense like that rn lol.

I'm not surprised. I picked the patriots to lose this game. I did think the pats would look better but I'm done with this offense. They aren't good enough to win it all without a ton of help from the defense. Such a shame.... At least kraft is happy though.
Yeah, I don't know about you, but after Kraft did "the right thing", I totally forgot that he just got picked up for soliciting prostitution from human sex slaves.

We should just pray for terrible weather every game!

Man, the Patriots winning it all this season would be worth it mainly for the DYJ doc. that would come out. Like, what the f would be the commentary from the coaches lol. What a weird, weird season.

This team just can't get it together on offense. I get why, but it's been Murphy's Law on that side of the ball all year. Is it possible Ferentz is better at Center than Karras was? Guess we'll find out.

Again, I do not EVER want to see the word "Boogeymen" used by this Defense again. Stop buying your hype and go accomplish something. DPOY for Gilmore? Come on. He was bad tonight, and him beating Amari Cooper has to do with weather and Amari's knee issue. John Simon, actually hold on to someone when sacking them. And can anyone ever cover a RB coming out of the backfield?

Good onsides kick though. It was close.

One thing for sure is I miss Gronkowski out there. Even a battered Gronk was good enough to draw double teams and the defenses attention. Sure did help with receivers getting open. They just haven’t evolved without him.

Nothing is ever over with this team. They’ve proved it time and time again. Not upset or mad. They’ve won 6 superbowls and I’m content to see what they do next.

Everyone ****ting on Harry for the pick, it should have been defensive holding. The defender molested him to get in position.

I’ll sell my soul to bring brown back

If we sign Brown and he plays all games we're winning SB54. Not sure why we don't just ****ing pick him up already. At least force the league to make a decision already

For the sake of getting the AB stuff out of the thread, let's all accept that signing AB would slot the WRs appropriately, cover for a lot of the TE issues, and make the team a much more viable SB threat.

Now, back to analyzing this game, and its fallout.

Yes, 10-2, but at this point the #1 seed is all but gone because of the tie-breaker, and really the division is at play with KC coming here next week and Buffalo just a game back with a head to head coming up. On both these fronts, though, Buffalo plays the Ravens, so one of them is losing.
I don't think the offense is going to get much better than what we are seeing, and I also think very little of it is on Brady.
But I've learned to never count them out, and hey, they're 10-2 and defending Super Bowl champs, so its only doom and gloom because of the impossibly high bar that has been set.
The number 1 seed is very well still up for grabs and will be a dogfight to the bitter end

NE’s offensive design needs to convert on 3rd and 6 or less consistently. Right now they do not have plays they can rely on in those situations with confidence. On the big downs, they are making Brady go away from Edelman and White.

Ok, but I think it really needs to be emphasized that this board was a bigger embarrassment than the team's first half play. I'm not usually one to worry overmuch about GDTs, but that was ridiculous.
I didn’t get to watch the thread (or half of the game really) very closely, but I can agree with you that it was rough waters. I tried to post some positivity in there toward the end though I doubt many were left to hear it.

To summarize: Not every season is gonna be an easy 14-2 breeze to HFA throughout and an AFC title and another Super Bowl shot. Sometimes they will have rougher games, but as you guys saw, even in those games - even with a flu so bad they took two planes - they were a bad Bolden tip away from potentially stealing a win anyway. They never quit, and you should never quit on them.

Being a Pats fan isn’t just expecting resounding wins and getting mad when they MIGHT lose. They’re 10-2. If they can just pull it together at home against the Chiefs then they still get a bye. Even if they can’t, so what? They have to play on Wild Card weekend, oh well. They’re still in the postseason. Anything can happen. The team’s been around for decades and decades. They weren’t 10-2 at this point for a vast majority of those seasons. They probably won’t be 10-2 at this point for a majority of their remaining seasons in the future. Perspective is key. Enjoy what’s here while it’s here and don’t ruin it for others who are trying to do so. If you’re only happy when they’re steamrolling teams throughout then you probably shouldn’t post in a live game thread, it just won’t be enjoyable for you or others.

Sorry for rambling, I guess that wasn’t a very good summary at all, but yeah. Let’s try to be positive. It’s the Pats. They’re 10-2. Breathe. Critique and discuss and theorize, but breathe.

Dorsett has been here for 2 years, he knows better than this.

All things considered we lost two road games to a 10-2 and 8-4 team. One was closer than it looked (Baltimore) and one wasn't as close as it looked (Houston, save for that near onside kick). I feel pretty good if health keeps up for the defense if we play at home and/or the weather starts acting like it's January already

I would love to see brady’s presser.

Meh. This offense is brutal. Probably one of the worse in the belichick and brady era.
