OT: TO Simmering slowly

I don't know. I think TO is starting to grow up.

The first cracks begin to appear :singing:

It is a very bad sign for any team when their HC is concerned about trying to get someone the ball more.

Agreed. Compare that to the Moss article in the Herald today, where he basically says he doesn't care who gets the ball...what a difference.

Too bad Brady wasn't able to hit Moss on a couple of those bombs. TO's cork would have popped.

Yea, can you see BB telling everyone that we need to get Moss the ball more often. Then again, Bum Jr. is the guy that said they needed to stop the run. I mean, everyone knows that you have to make Brady beat you.

After the reaction of some of the Cowboys after the game (re: Crayton, Owens), I expect Dallas to eventually implode this season. They'll still make the play-offs because they play in the NFC, but their comments indicate to me that this is a team that just doesn't get it yet. They think they'll win just because everyone says their good, and are in denial when they don't.

When the Pats lost to St Louis in the regular season in 2001, in a game which could have turned out differently, whereas they also gained some confidence in how they might fair in another game against the Rams, they did not disrespect that they nonetheless lost to the a powerful team, but instead went back to the classroom and worked even harder. I don't see this in Dallas.

From the Herald article (linked in another thread):
Moss said it’s never been about who’s going to be Tom Brady’s go-to guy, or who’s going to catch more passes, or who’s going to be the primo star. For the receivers, from Day 1, it’s always been about doing what’s best for the team.
...

“Usually it takes awhile for guys to understand each other and start clicking, because you get egos in the way. ‘Oh, this guy’s coming in to play the same position I play,’ and so on. But it wasn’t that way. It was more, ‘Let’s get out here, let’s work together, let’s all make this team, and once we make the team, let’s come together and make things happen.’ So I think we have an understanding with each other.”

I have seen on TV multiple times from multiple sources (Chris Mortensen and John Clayton most notably) that TO has been complaining on the sidelines that he is not getting the ball enough. Mort even said that against Buffalo while the cameras caught him mostly showing signs of support for Romo, he was equally supporting Romo and complaining that he is not getting the ball enough. Ironic enough Clayton pointed out on ESPN radio that no WR in the league has had more balls throw their way this season than TO.

This is because Moss has enough confidence in himself and has figured out, "Hey, if I play right and get open, I'll get my passes." Too bad TO can't figure this out. If he was open and could catch the ball consistently, more balls would probably be thrown his way. Grow up TO. The fans are tired of your act.

...And more passes dropped that should have been caught.

TO has some SERIOUS psycological issues! He is a mental time bomb waiting to explode. Did you see him just steaming on the sidelines during the Pats march down the field in the 4th quarter? Plus of course the three deep balls to Moss (who BTW had two other TDs called back, one of which was a very ticky-tack call, and the other was an incredible grab). Not only did his team lose, and lose badly, he got "shown up" by Moss.

It is only a matter of time, until this bomb explodes. Moss clearly wants to win (i don't know about you guys, but that is one helluva pay cut he took to play here, sure in the long run this year is going to lead to him to be well compensated in the future, but it is a chance he took) so he forced his way out of a no win (literally) situation in Oakland. But Owens, literally tore apart a Superbowl team, because he didn't think he was getting enough attention, it had nothing to do with winning. Bottomline is he is truely nuts!

Footballoutsiders.com has his catch % at 48%, the lowest among the top 40 in DPAR. Most other WRs are in the high 60s/low 70s:

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr.php

(T.O. is ranked 29th in DPAR)

It'sa funny, the three highest catch % in the league are Moss,Stalworth and Welker. at 75,73,73%....I wonder if it's a reflection of the guy throwing the ball as well....
Compared to last year when the #1 receiver Caldwell was at 60%......Not disrespecting Reche, he wasn't a #1, just forced to be one........

your so right, he would have exploded, media would have kept pumping him with questions about it, and you know he cant stay away from the camera's.

I love it that the Pats were trying to mess with his head.

This should be interesting to watch...

get your popcorn ready!

From when the Vikings offense counted how many times they got Moss the ball? LOL!!

Sorry, that was a different Moss.

I love this Randy, by the way.
