Eagles are not a great team and they were missing some of their best playmakers as well. D started off horribly but did settle down.

Offense is a complete continues to be a complete Trainwreck thanks to the O line. TrashHouse may get Brady killed as well.

If Wynn shows that he can hold up, that'll change a lot of things.

The only thing that matters is securing the #1 seed, it doesn’t really matter if you are 16-0 or 9-7. You still have to win your playoff games. The Pats win today was a huge step in securing that goal.

Your best road to the SB is to jus5 have to win 2 home games.

What was Brady steaming about?

The offense sucks, according to post-2007 standards, and Brady's going to die if the OL doesn't get fixed.

Respect, Tommy. Nah, the Lions D did and they have different personnel. The NE D is very light up front and soft in the middle. That's where the weakness is and teams would be smart to try to exploit it. There's only so much scheming that can be done when a team can line up and just pound the rock.

With that said, the D has shown that once they figure things out after the first drive or two against a good team they can be very effective for most of the game. I just worry about the O being able to score enough if or when the D has a subpar or bad game, like the BMore game.
The patriot D personell is fine to stop the run but they do lack depth.

No, they aren't. They absolutely lack size on the DL. They've been getting gashed all season by teams with good running games.

What's funny is that we're seeing the same decline showing up with last year's SB loser, yet people here are ignoring that impact.

What was Brady steaming about?
Can’t talk for him, but it seemed obvious he’s angry at how the offense is sputtering.

Newhouse was bad.

Newhouse didn't allow the sack today. That's just fact. He may have allowed pressures and QB hits, but no sacks.

The entire line has not played the way we fans are accustomed to. That includes Thuney, Mason, and Cannon. Thuney has been the best of them. But Mason and Cannon seem to have regressed from last year when they were both amongst the top of their positions.

Butler Shelton guy wise across the front is plenty big.

we really need Wynn back. and thank god he is back next week. Newhouse is a turnstyle

Go back and watch this game again. This time, ignore everything but the play of Newhouse. Get back to me then.

And Newhouse being a 5th string tackle doesn't somehow improve his level of play. It does help explain it, but that's a different issue.
idk what to tell you man. He plays like a 5th string tackle and happens to be playing like one when the rest of the offense has sucked too. If it was 2011 or 2016 we'd just think he was bad. Kinda sounds like we need a scapegoat, and when Wynn replaces him and we don't suddenly skyrocket to 30+ PPG I'm wondering who will be next to blame

My guess is the poor execution by the offense in the 2nd half other than the TD drive.

Newhouse was bad.

He has two problems and they really can’t be fixed. He can’t go left laterally and he isn’t strong enough to slow a good bull rush.

The team hasn't stopped the run against anyone halfway decent at running it. Many posters agree that the D is built to stop the pass this season, which is true. But you can maintain your opinion. I'm looking elsewhere tonight. This is hardly something I want to argue about at this time. Good night to you, man.

I agree he has 2 problems. I would call them
Run blocking and pass blocking.

Or angry that Edelman stole the spotlight from him.
