Tua Tagovailoa injured today - considered serious

yeah...ever notice you never see any Eskimos in the Nuffle? that right there should tell you something about religion and ethnicity bias...why imagine, Tumuk the QB throws the winning TD and post game the whole team ends up in a pigloo eating raw ****yfish...Luwana barges in with a walrus tusk spear and wreaks havoc on the players groins, slashing achilles and ripping ACL's...it'd be pandemonium.

So layoff Father Further just cuz he wants his kid to get some moa experience dodging ancestral fa'aaufalas...

It's called a free college education. Just make sure all players get one.
This is the biggest joke.

School isn't for everyone. And all due respect their are people driving Uber/Lyft that graduated from Harvard. An education doesn't guarantee you anything.

Again School isn't for everyone. Schools have np letting these kids f off, not go class or take gym for credits if they want. And kids aren't going there for an education.

Free education is abt as comical as saying it'll tip the scales of balance in terms of who has a chance to win. It's a complete joke.

What's to explain?

Different type of backgrounds, ethnicities raise, believe & act certain ways that some might think is too much in the most general sense.

You're surprised in how someone might choose to raise their family based on culture & religion?
No, I think you are generalizing and stereotyping and while some cultural norms are different, it doesn't mean that every member of a group acts the same.

Who did I stereotype & generalize? Specifically what did I say that offended you Boomer? Genuinely curious?

How about,
"Their (sic) Samoan & devout christian so that right there should tell you all you need to know."
Replace Samoan with Jews, African-Americans, Italians, Irish, Poles and use one the stereotypes associated with those groups and you can see how it would seen as offensive..."that's all you need to know, he's one of those".
Trust me I'm not offended............
I'm curious what is it about Samoans or devout Christians make you think it is okay to beat your kids...

I think the only thing that offends me (as a Catholic) is that it's now culturally ok to bash Christians only. So what you said hit it on the head. If he said "They're Samoan and devout muslims so that right there should tell you all you need to know" there would be near universal outrage.

Otherwise, I don't really have a problem with people being critical of religions. Free choice and free speech is what it is.

We're better when we stick to football

Yea I wasn't being a 100% serious when I said "that right there should tell you all you need to know"

There's still nothing wrong w that. Samoans are known for having a strong/tight family unit. They stick together. If you've ever watched college football you'll see certain schools have a connection w them (USC/Oregon & others)
Also most people aren't serious when it comes to religion. That's just facts, not opinion.

Combine the two & yea they might be a little different than what some are used to. Absolutely nothing wrong w that.

Not sure if you have any black friends but I do & we talk more **** then you'd believe. Abt each others hair, ****s, w/e. That's what real friends do. That actual breaks a lot of barriers down & you'll understand that you're different, similar & that's ok.

Paying college players would trigger an avalanche.
All sports would want equal pay. Big and small, male and female. There's almost 500,000 college athletes. At just $10K each that is $5 BILLION. Obviously a non starter. But it's the reality. Today's environment won't allow the QB to be paid more than the softball pitcher.

Should it though?

Most people aren't religious & where it like a hat they take on & off when it's convenient for them.

You are right abt christians taking it on the chin though. Can't even make fun of anyone anymore w/out someone crying.

A wise man once said, "I don't treat everyone the same but I treat everyone fairly".

That's exactly how you handle this.

Coaches being paid 5, 10+ M per. More powerful than elected officials.
50M-100M stadiums that wouldn't be drawn up w/out these players putting asses in seats.
Millions for aid/exspense .

I'm a dumbass & can give you a rough draft. There are a lot of brilliant people out there that could make this work if allowed/given the chance.

Everybody will want to get paid. Do they have contracts? A salary cap?
Sure can.

The bolded has me confused though. Exactly what would change for the worse?
How much are these kids getting paid? Which kids are and aren't getting paid? A college team can have 100+ players on it. A very few college football teams actually turn a profit. Do they have to pay a percentage of that to players? Is that a massive recruiting advantage? Most of their profit goes right back into the athletic department and other sports programs..

It makes sense that the guy selling stuff in the stands can go on workers comp if he slips on a hotdog but athletes are carted off & "we hope" they have insurance.

I thought this bs wasn't going to start until Monday the Boomers are out in full force this weekend (I'm just joking, feel the need to say that considering how soft some are here)

No problem. It’s entertaining. We find it adorable when little kids try to make jokes. :)

Dr. James Andrews works out of st. Vincent’s when he is in town. No doubt that they would send tua there.

Most of the NCAA profits come from the NCAA tournament

Ok Boomer. You're almost 60, didn't know what dvoa was until an hour ago (be honest you still don't have a clue) & couldn't tell me anything worthwhile abt our team or the sport.

It's cool, honestly no problem w just being a casual fan.

Can't wait for w/e meme in coming. Like your grandfather playing a smart phone for the first time.
