I saw an interview last year and the father seemed like a controlling parent who treats his children like meal tickets. He was that kid that was at every special camp honing his skills forever. Good family, I'd be surprised if they didn't set something up for him.

Tough? He is an a**hole, beating Tua with a belt after he threw an interception..I think his dad is tough on him.
Better than being an absentee parent. There also may be some cultural components to how kids are raised.
He’s an abuser. That isn’t cultural.I think his dad is tough on him.

Years of research, talking to people who know a lot more than me & my own opinion.Good family ? Where did you ever get that impression ? I saw an interview last year and the father seemed like a controlling parent who treats his children like meal tickets.
NFL bound players can get insurance for these occurrences no? I would like for these kids to be compensated, but I have yet to hear an idea that could accomplish that in any fair way without adverse effects on the college game.Pay college athletes
Please explain to me................before we paint everyone of a religion or an ethnic background with the same broad brush.....Their Samoan & devout christian so that right there should tell you all you need to know.
.
Sure can.NFL bound players can get insurance for these occurrences no? I would like for these kids to be compensated, but I have yet to hear an idea that could accomplish that in any fair way without adverse effects on the college game.
My parents are devout Catholics. They never ever struck me with an object and I still somehow made it to college. The fact that I am not an NFL caliber QB has everything to do with my genetics and lack of strength. Not because they didn’t beat me.Years of research, talking to people who know a lot more than me & my own opinion.

I have absolutely no problem judging people on their actions but try to remain objective. His kids are in college, all have good heads on their shoulders & extremely humble.
Im sure we can finds things to criticize him over. He used to beat Tua w a belt after bad games for example & I've heard other things as well.
Again he's Samoan & christian. Not trying to offend anyone but good luck smoothing those edges. Certainly not perfect but it looks like he did the best he could.

And where exactly did I say his father whipping him made him arguably the best QB in the country. My parents are devout Catholics. They never ever struck me with an object and I still somehow made it to college. The fact that I am not an NFL caliber QB has everything to do with my genetics and lack of strength. If the “best he could” includes abuse, that’s not very impressive.
