How the hell did Damian Harris get injured? Did he jump off his couch too fast after winning a game of Madden?
actually, I was wondering the same thing.

Clearly, Bill has been drinking:

How did Brady injury his hand before the playoff game in 2017 ? Did he fumble the avocado knife ?

Practice and strength/conditioning accounts for about 80% of the physical side of being an NFL player. And they had two practices in pads in the last 2 weeks (1 during the BYE another this week). Things happen and minor stuff that doesn't end up on the injury report one day might look worse the next day.

just need the Oline to hold down the fort for 1 game until wynn is back....eagles secondary is pretty barren from what ive seen so hopefully sanu/Edelman can feast

Eagles are 5-4 with losses to the Falcons, Lions, Cowboys and Vikings. They are battling to get to 9-7 or 10-6 at best.

Eagle defense gave up 27 points to the Redskins, Lions and Packers, 38 points to the Vikings, 37 points to the Cowboys. The Eagles have allowed 17 TDs in 28 visits to the Red Zone by their opponents. I am not impressed by that defense.

On offense, Carson Wentz is without DeSean Jackson (IR), and both Darren Sproles and Alshon Jeffrey were DNPs yesterday. Their best running back, Howard, is hurt.

Zack Ertz is by far Wentz' favorite target with 75 targets. Belichick will focus on taking Ertz away and stopping the run. Nelson Agholor will get a steady diet of Stephon Gilmore. This is not a tough team to limit its ability to move the ball.

Wentz is averaging 228 yards passing per game, 18th in the NFL right behind your favorite turnover machine, Baker Mayfield. (TB12 is averaging 281 yards passing/game.)

Enough with the superstitious crap. This is a mediocre team that runs a conventional pocket passing offense with lots of injury issues. The Patriots defense will have a good day.

I think they can play much better than they have the past two games in run defense. But you're right, teams with halfway decent ground games are going to test us there until we show them it's a bad idea.

Which the Eagles do not have. They are 20th in yards/attempt with 4.2. This is an average team by any measure you look at.

Perry: This Eagles formation could give Pats defense headaches

Houston runs a ton of 2 TE sets as well. Not a good matchup. Hopefully they spent the past 2-weeks figuring this out...

Perry can dream on. Run all the two TE sets you want. They average 4.2 ypc (20th in the league) and their best back is hurt. Wentz is 18th in the league in passing. They have one WR worth worrying about (Agholor). The Patriots DBs can handle anything they do in the secondary.

The key to the game is taking Ertz away. He will get the Marshall Faulk treatment all day.

Yet with all that said they’re the second best team we’ve played all year.

Their #1 RB is out

Goedert isn't one of the best TE in football. Ryan Izzo who people like you call the worst TE in football only has 80 less yards than Goedert

What's this based on? 2015?

Pats have made a lot of "best D-Lineman in the league" non-factors with pass game schemes. Edelman & Sanu working the middle against that secondary on quick passes is how you do it.

I like how you don't at all touch on any matchups the Pats have advantage in. Like you say Eagles have a bad secondary but imply it's a bad matchup for the Pats because Eagles have the 2nd best DLineman in the league.

Good work batting aside all these concerns. The Eagles are a mediocrity by any measure, made worse by all the injuries. Their defense sucks and will be facing Brady with a full complement of receivers for the first time all year.

A team that gave up 27 points to the Falcons and the Lions will not stop Brady with Harry, Sanu, Edelman, Dorsett, Meyers, Watson, White, Michel and Burkhead to choose from.

Really?

Defensively, the Eagles stink.

The Eagles give up more points per game than the Browns, Ravens, Steelers, and Bills. And, they've allowed more TDs than the Redskins, Jets, Bills and Ravens.

Their run D is quite good...

There's a sports bar here owned by a Philly guy and its eagles hq.
Only sports bar I've ever been to anywhere in the U.S. where every single tv had the eagles game on. I live in a coastal southern city populated by people from all over the country.
You'd think he'd want the revenue from fans of other teams but NOOOO.
I'm toying with watching the game there with full Patriots gear.
I'm in the Deep South but none of those southern manners have rubbed off on any of the Philly people I've met, so maybe it's a bad idea. I can't watch a game quietly. If the Pats score, I'll go nuts.
Ok it's a bad idea. I have a boxing background but also have all my teeth.
Like to keep em.

I thought that they were one of the higher teams in RPO, not just pocket passing? Granted with no RB's that makes it harder and I do think they are mediocre.
