Interesting clue from last night's Jeopardy...

If this team had just run three times after getting to the opponent’s 22 in Super Bowl 51...

What is "The Seattle Seahawks, with the proviso that Marshawn Lynch was statistically unlikely to make the touchdown," Alex. Also we all love you & will miss you.

Wow I just thought something unintentionally funny to myself, I thought, wow, he's still working, wouldn't you spend the time with family blah blah blah, doesn't work just seem trivial?

Then I remembered.

No diss.

What is we would have stopped them anyway?

Surely it was the legend James Holzhauer who answered correctly, right?

God, I love watching that guy play.

We need to have an "IF" hall of fame. He'd be the GOAT QB if. This team would the greatest dynasty if, He'd have been the MVP if......

When I watch replays of that whole sequence I have to laugh at Collinsworth for claiming that Lynch was "borderline unstoppable" in that part of the field. He was 1 for 5 on the goal line that season. Isn't his job to know stuff like that?

Chris,

If wes caught a ball he catches 90% of the time
If refs saw that a philly rb bobbled a td catch
If gronk wasnt out Or limited for the afcc/sb 3 years in a row
If team wasn’t decimated in 2013 and 2015

Chris,

Michael Bolton?

What gets lost in what Pete Carroll did was he was trying to run three plays with one timeout and burn the clock down so the Pats do not get another possession or with basically no time on the clock.

So he had to run at least one pass play when he burned the clock down to 25 seconds, and preferable a quick pass that would prevent the possibility of a sack, which is what he did.

Unfortunately for the Seahawks that was the first time all year that a pass like that was intercepted. (in i think like 160 or 190 attempts).

Also ...

If Eli had been whistled and called in the grasp.
If Samuel held onto that sideline interception.
If Samuel came to Harrison's aid vs. Tyree instead of pulling up and watching.
If the Pats didn't blitz on the Burress score.
If Caldwell didn't drop that sure catch vs. Colts in 2006 AFCC.

109. In any case, though, it's still amazing that Ernie Adams had the team practice that specific play.

The most galling part of this is that they rediscovered that particular rule to wipe out Matt Cassel's rushing TD in the Wildcat game the next season.

Great thanks for the number. i knew there was a 1, 6, 9, and 0 in the number. And yes it was great that the Pats practice so much and anticipate potential plays by the opponent. Great story in the end.

If this team had just started their #2 CB in SB 52.....

jk.

Seattle has never been the same since. Same with Atlanta. And the Rams. I see a trend developing here...
