If you're talking borderline HOFers then the process is a bit frustrating but for the clear cut guys it is something special.
I'm saying the HOF has become a joke bc of the process. Obviously its an honor to most players.
Guys like Cris Carter, TO, Kramer, Hayes... I could literally name 50-60 guys that were great players. Best of the best. That had to wait made the process a joke.
Again look at the few names I listed off the top of my head. This goes back decades, its nothing new.
I can't imagine looking at this process as it is & thinking it's special. Top 5-10 guys at their respected positions waiting years bc some writer who can't tie his show wout losing his breath thinks he should wait for some asinine reason.
Only having a certain amount of players that can get in & having players get in every year is the dumbest **** ever.
Its the HOF. Some years you might have 10 guys, some years you might have 1-2 or none. This to me is something I cant get over. HOF is supposed to for the best of best. Dominant players that are just different from the rest. You're not getting a select # of those guys every year. Its just absurd imo.
Again look at some of the people who vote. They couldn't explain some of the smallest intricaties of the sport but decide who gets in Canton?
Anyone who knows me or reads my post understands I dont have blind loyalty to some of the "professional's" in the sport. I absolutely think some guys
outside the sport can excel in it. That said some of these writers are gods awful & should be criticized when it's deserved.
The whole process has been a joke for a long time. Just to be clear I'm not saying this idea is right or great. I'm just not bothered bc imo its been a joke & turned into something else all together.
