So with a limited season...how many receptions / yards do you think he will get including playoffs. Thank you in advance for your response.

300 - 350 yard and 3 - 4 TDs?

Big thing is 1st downs and moving the chains.

Which means the Pat's will have to create some cap space for him.
So? You seem to have a great time arguing with yourself. My comment that he was under contract wasn't aimed at you. (Also, too: He ain't coming back this season.)

BINGO! - never the less this topic = fighting the tide with some (otherwise good) people

Why?

Its not a joke that fans and teammates want him back. He will lose all credibility if he already has.

I think he's playing the fans because of his flip-flop attitude when asked. As the old saying goes, sh!t or get off the pot.

They won’t allow CBD so it’s a wrap

I didn’t read the other 16 pages. Is he back or not?

Gronk is staying retired. From all the horror stories I've read about players playing through injuries, and team doctors pushing them through insane pain, I genuinely think he doesn't have a lot of respect for anyone but the players.

He has a wealthy family that was always trying to keep him healthy and always made him consider getting second opinions on injuries. That's because NFL doctors are absolute garbage and will push you through anything they can. At some point, if you're given the other perspective so often, you start to realize - you are a commodity, and when your body craps out, you're taken to the trash. I think he finally had enough. Go him. I will legitimately be sad if he suits up again, his body has taken too much of a toll. What the hell is there to enjoy in life if you are enduring constant, constant pain.

Then he should stay retired and stop playing us Pats fans. I'd respect him more if he just did that and went away.

Know in your heart - he's not trolling you, he's trolling the NFL as an organization to make money. Down deep, he loves the fans. And Brady. And maybe some of the coaches.

Before you ask. I don't know why he took so long to announce retirement, making it more difficult for us to find a replacement. But I'll still believe everything else I said lol.

There is always a way to make room in the cap.

You are very confused since you just replied to me. Keep repeating that Gronk is under contract is if it means anything.

Gronk is coming back skippy.

I've read this in multiple places, but every piece comes across as an opinion piece. Is there any league-sourced material to this effect confirming this as absolute?

Btw, this is more of an academic question. Gronk coming back has a ton of variables well beyond this one.

Regards,
Chris

No TE trade by the deadline spells Gronk coming back whether you like it or not.

We should begin to hear rumblings of a Gronk return soon. If Gronk has been using the snake oil and if he was tested, surely he would be smart enough to stop using this substance so it would be out of his system. Money can be moved around within the cap to fit Gronk in and his contract finagled.

Get the Bud Light ready.

Gronk too busy

Getting no TE at the deadline signals nothing beyond not being able to make a deal.

The Lions called about Chris Harris and didn't get him. It doesn't mean they have a CB coming out of retirement. The Eagles and Saints were linked to AJ Green. He's still a Bengal, and I'm sure Terrell Owens and Marques Colston are staying home as well.

At this stage a more useful discussion probably would be Gronk next year?

Makes no sense.

How do those teams relate to this situation? Terrible comparison. Rethink and return with a better rebuttal.

Gronk has hinted about a return to this team. NE has a huge void at TE. Gronk keeps opening his mouth about a return. My advice is to wait for the next sign of Gronks comeback.

They won’t allow CBD so it’s a wrap

I believe that his public to have CBD legalize has nothing to do with his returning and everything to do with increasing the profits of the company for whom he is a major spokesperson. CBD has been around for years and yet there is no convincing in the medical literature that it is consistently effective for chronic arthritis and musculoskeletal pain in general. There is certainly no evidence that it is more effective than nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Now that may change because there are a lot of medical trials going on right now but the claims that Gronk makes about the benefits that he has experience from CBD are absurd. It can be used as an adjunctive treatment for arthritis and pain and anecdotally several of my patients have experienced subjective benefits but it is not a panacea. If he actually believes all of what he is saying there is likely a significant placebo effect involved.

He ain’t coming back, boys. At least not this year.
