Miami's Chambers to Chargers

Miami trades Chris Chambers to San Diego for draft pick in 2008

Just heard this info on NFL Sirius Radio..not sure of any further details just yet....

Will anyone still be there when we play next Sunday?

A second round pick is pretty darn high, but this is a good trade for both sides. Its obvious Chambers has not grown into the player he could potentially be at Miami and they need all the draft pick they can get to start rebuilding. On the other hand, a fresh start could allow Chambers to develop a little further (and he certainly has quite a bit of talent) so perhaps SD will finally find a good, playmaking catcher for their QB.

well ..it improves the chargers . aj smith doing something he shouldve done in the offseason.
not to mention cameron's relationship with the chargers.

The did well to get a 2.

It's been proven they can get a failed quarterback with a pick like that.:D

So now they don't even have much of a receiver threat this week - What is the betting line going to be now this week - 21 points?

I think we can make room for Thomas and Taylor;)

Regardless this is the best reciever the chargers have ever had under this team with L.T. on it imo and is a great move for them. Im sure the dolphins will use that pick to draft a kicker or something.:p

As the Chargers continue to gain experience with the new staff, I see them becoming a force by season's end. I see the Chragers being the #3 seed in the AFC. Which will have serious implications for the #2 seed in the AFC.

It is going to be very difficult to play 8 or 9 in the box against them with Chambers and Gates running free in the secondary.

This is a GREAT trade for the CHargers! They will win the AFC West (unless anyone here thinks that Oakland, Denver, or Herm's CHiefs are going to outwin for the rest of the year).

Listen to BB on the sidelines during the game this year, and he tells his DBs that Gates is the only one who can beat them!!!

Great move by the Charges, nice to not have to face Chambers for either Miami game this year, however, I have a funny feeling that we will see him in the playoffs.

Definitely a good move for the Chargers, and considering how weak the league seems overall this year, they could make some noise the rest of the way.

Hard to get past that coach of theirs, though.....

Maybe they can use the 2nd round pick to draft a good WR. :)

but wait!

i have it on good authority that Chambers was going to OWN the Patriots this Sunday!!!

NNnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo

That sucks. Let's just hope they don't trade freaking Jason Taylor to the Steelers or, especially, the Colts...

So the phins will be going into the game with Ronnie Brown running and.........um......thats all i got.

I think we can make room for Thomas and Taylor;)

I know you were mostly kidding but you're already short a first round pick in the upcoming draft so I doubt the front office would want to part with and 2nd or more even if both JT and Thomas weren't cap prohibitive.

It's a good trade for both teams.
