Demaryius Thomas says he was insulted/disrespected by Patriots.

When Harry went on IR (which was known when Thomas was temporarily cut) Thomas had a spot. Literally because he was resigned.

But again I’m not sure what your post meant when you were acting as if someone was endorsing cutting Meyers to keep Thomas.
Did someone actually argue that?

It’s just a pet peeve of mine that these threads turn into loud stink when people start misrepresenting opposing viewpoints or even making them up.

No I’m not saying anyone was endorsing that. I’m saying that if the Patriots wanted to keep Thomas (as people seem to second guessing their decisions and/or falsely attributing his release due to the AB signing) then releasing Meyers was the only realistic way to keep Thomas.

I can respond to whomever I want and so can you. If it hurts you, put me on Ignore. The post you mention was an EXACT analogy/comparison to what you are stating. If you cannot handle that, no need to be so dramatic. You are getting upset about a sports message board. Take a breath.

.
Wow are you 6? So when I say that I’ve decided that I don’t like your attitude and it would be best if we just avoid these kinds of boondoggles your answer is WAAAAH I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT
It’s no wonder that everyone i see interacting with you seems to dislike you. I have nothing against you, I am new here but the way you are acting must drive people away. Isn’t this supposed to be a place where fans discuss a team they all root for?

The post is not even close to an analogy.

I was comparing how 2 players have played, you know played ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, this year.
I was saying that to judge their comparative ability only a moron would say a guy who has 120 yards in 5 games is playing better than a guy who had 108 in 2 1/4.
Citing one guy with one good game is as far from a good analogy as it gets.

Well his release WAS due to the AB signing.
They could have sent gunner to the practice squad also, or just kept 6 WRs including Gunner

Once again, if it hurts you, put me on Ignore. It cannot be said any clearer.

You are obviously distraught. You can help yourself. I wish you the very best.

Gunner going to the PS is not an option. Clearly they don't want JE handling PRs

Well that’s the choice. Was having another WR more valuable than the punt returner. I think you are right but it was the choice they faced and just last year he did return punts.

Yep. We can debate the choice but the logic behind it is reasonable.

BB wants Gunner as the primary PR. I assume to spare JE the hits and to develop.

BB thinks Gunner can develop into a functional WR.

I'm assuming BB thinks Gunner can help as an emergency DB.

Why would I put you on ignore? Why would you be a member of a board and block the ability to read another members comments? This is a community not a competition.
I think I understand though. You want people to put you on ignore so they can’t see your posts. That way they can’t respond to you and you and you can post whatever bs you want without being called out for it. Nice gig. No thanks.

I’m not distraught. I am calling to mind why people attack others and try to make their own failings someone else’s fault. I think I’ve read case studies about your personality type. But I digress.

Thank you. If you wish me the best, then the best for me is to not have my participation and enjoyment of this community diminished by having someone who uses the type of combative tactics that you use interrupt my discussions with responses that are irrelevant to it, and create a needless debacle like what is happening here. I admit that I struggle to leave silliness I responded to, so I simply ask that you do not direct your silliness at me.
Is that unreasonable?
Do you enjoy these type of idiotic discussions?
I’d have to imagine the other members of the board don’t enjoy seeing them. Should we ask?
I think it would improve everyone’s experience on this board if you and I do not interact.
I will be the big man and admit that I have a hard time not responding back to the kind of arrogant, insulting and demeaning posts that you seem to prefer. So if you would kindly refrain from inserting yourself into my discussions we can avoid that because I can assure you i will never speak to you unprovoked.
Is that not a fair arrangement?

does anyone on the board want to chime in as to whether these type of interactions between me and this man or woman are welcomed, encouraged, discouraged or despised?

How many receivers can actually play at once?

You have Edelman, Gordon, and Dorsett, who will get almost all the targets when healthy. Meyers is next when one of these guys is banged up ( he has filled in for Dorsett and probably will for Gordon). Harry is returning in a few weeks.

I don’t see how Thomas, had they kept him, even gets more than a coupe of targets a game, or what the point ignores having him is. Hes likely an expensive healthy scratch. He would probably be even more disgruntled, Michael Bennett style, has they kept him. He should be glad he got traded with a team so short on WRs that he’s their #2 option.

No doubt that’s the choice he made.
But it was a close call. Remember Gunner was told he was being cut on cut down day so it was certainly a tough choice.

I think like half a dozen other players that make the 53 every year, who else makes it and where you fit in has a lot to do with it.

What I expected was 4 WRs (out of Edelman Gordon Thomas dorsett Harry) would all get decent playing time, especially with the TE issues and would be grouped differently in packages and all would have opportunities.

Thomas was a wild card because of recovery from injury and how complete the recovery was. At 100% he is ahead of dorsett and pushing Gordon. At 80% he is a wily veteran you can some use out of.
There were a lot of ways it could have turned out. In the end when AB arrived Thomas wasn’t 100% and there was no knowing when he would be, and with the other players around there was no reason to wait and see.
That’s how I see it at least.

Yikes. I'm praying for ya!

Thanks but I’m covered, save your prayers for some you actual know who needs them.
I’ll go back to enjoying the board now.

...Brown or no Brown, this guy wasn’t good enough to make/stick with the team, especially with his injury risk and salary.
He was good enough to make/stick with the team B.C...Before Clowntonio.

He was good enough to make/stick with the team B.C...Before Clowntonio.

By the skin of his teeth though. He was released at the roster deadline, and then Harry was placed on IR to make room for him. Not sure if that’s a solid spot or basically a placeholder until Harry returns from IR.

...Injuries happen and obviously I would prefer to have DT right now on the team to get through the next 2 games but I don't really see an obvious team building mistake anywhere.
Well, except for the whole Clowntonio mistake...

Harry hasn't returned yet, so that question is - for now - irrelevant.

lol by that logic so is any of your longing for AB. He is gone, so all this "it wouldn't be a problem if.." is even more irrelevant.
