When can N'Keal Harry practice?

If Develin is 100% healthy...I think I like the idea of trading for a WR and activating Wynn and Develin.

I love Harry, but how much would he contribute this year?

Either way....we need Wynn back the most.

I don't because an injury puts you back in misery.

I think we need to trade for an offensive weapon AND activate Harry. Not one or the other.

His health is the most important factor. Turf toe sometimes lingers for many months.

If and when Dorsett and Gordon are healthy, we will have 4 receivers who are very familiar with the offense, and with what Brady expects: Edelman, Dorsett, Gordon and Meyers.

I guess the mediots and posters are looking for an upgrade over our #4 WR, Meyers. Any WR added (including Harry) would make Meyers inactive each week.

And yes, we would be stronger by adding a WR, and having Meyers available (and inactive) in case of injury. We have the roster spot vacated by Jakob.

We know Harry has 1rd grade talent talent.

We know Harry has some level of understanding as it relates to the offense

We know he has a familiarity with what TB12 expects

We know the NEP need some help at WR

Based on those 4 reasons, it makes zero sense not to activate him.

Develin IS an offensive weapon, more so than Harry.

Unfortunately, Develin may not be healthy enough to return this year (per Reiss).

Why do you say "offensive weapon"? We are talking about an upgrade for Meyers. A blocking TE wouldn't be an offensive weapon, any more than a FB, or swing OL.

Adding one weapon makes Meyers inactive. I don't see where a second weapon is possible or advisable.

If Harry is healthy , he needs to get a shot to see if he is an upgrade over Meyers.

If he's not, he doesnt

How will we give Harry a shot without using the roster spot? If we activate Harry and he's not an upgrade, we have a wasted roster spot for the rest of the season. This is very expensive, especially if Develin can play.

Are you suggesting activating Harry, and putting him back on IR if it doesn't work out? We would pass on trading for a WR AND pass on activating Develin?

I haven't thought that far ahead.

My belief is these things tend to resolve themselves.

We have no idea what Develin's situation is.

I agree.

However, for me, Develin's health IS the issue. If Develin isn't coming back, then we should definitely find out what we have in Harry.

Neck injury for a FB is not good.

Not optimistic :-(

Also in response to the person you quoted, who is out there that will be make a real impact for us at WR. I can think of one guy and that might be Emmanuel Sanders if he is on the block. Otherwise our best bet is hope Gordon and Dorsett get back out there and NKeal Harry can show us what he is capable of.

To further muddy the waters, Sanders left yesterday's Broncos game with a knee injury and didn't return

Then it seems our ship is sailing. They aren’t bringing Brown back after he swiped at Kraft, the Vikings won’t let anyone touch Diggs after his performance yesterday and Sanders is hurt. Anyone else...doesn’t feel like they’d make enough of an impact.

TE is a different story.

Man what BB and McDaniels said...I agree with Zo in that.... It feels like little jabs. He needs to be better..first round pick..flashes.

Just doesn't help my confidence after reading these today

Harry is big dude, he can help with the blocking too

I didn’t hear what Belichick said? Is it an implication that Harry has a lot of progress to make from where he was in TC/preseason?

With the Falcons circling the drain Sanu remains a possibility albeit a less exciting one.
As for TE I was pumping Eifert's tires as a great low risk high potential FA signing before he re-upped with Cincy. The structure of the one year contract he signed there makes him very tradeable but even with the low cap hit the fragility factor is always there with him.

No surprises there. He will have a big impact down the line..

Still I found the suggestions of posters very entertaining where they argued we don't know how much Harry would contribute or Brady look his way due to "trust" but then in the same sentence they lust for a FA WR who has even less experience with Brady, would cost an additional draft pick and hit the salary cap.

Not at all. He said Harry is mentally he is already where he is supposed to be 6 games into his rookie season. But physically he missed a lot of time and will need to show that he can catch up on that and be competitive.

I don't see any jabs at all. BB and McD are just saying it as it is.
