NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION *** Official Week 6 Other Games And News Thread ***

For some reason, Hodges reminds me of

Guess you could say...he got that bread

Nice Happy thanks 102! I’m on the west coast so always catch the night games until the end

Thanks! I'm in the Atlantic time zone so night games always end around 12:15am-12:30am, I passed out about halfway thru the 4th quarter of the TNF game. I'd love to watch games in the west coast time slots.

So the Patriots had easily the biggest winning margin of any team this week. Huh.

Anyone know if Gost has apologized to Falcons fans for missing that XPA and losing that game today?

Did he apologize to Cowboys fans for missing that 32 yard FGA?

The Chargers are another team getting killed by injuries.

The Chargers had Melvin Gordon holdout for 64 days. They have lost center Mike Pouncey (neck), left tackle Russell Okung (pulmonary embolism caused by blood clots), defensive end Melvin Ingram (hamstring), Henry (knee), safety Adrian Phillips (arm) and safety Derwin James (foot), among others, miss time. The Chargers have 11 players on some sort of reserve list.

Sunday Night wrapup: Steelers hold on for 24-17 victory over Chargers

so it should come as no surprise that they are struggling. The real question that the Chargers need to answer is "Why the hell do we get hit by so many injuries pretty much every freakin' year?".

The crazy thing is that the Pats have scored the most points of any team in the NFL and given up the least amount of points. For a 6-0 team with a "terrible" offense that needs to figure things out, it should scare the crap out of the rest of the NFL!

What was more impressive about HOU win over KC is them being down 17-3 and sticking with the run. Typically once KC builds up a lead, it forces most teams to play catch up by staying one dimensional which HOU didn't do. HOU had a 42/41 pass/run ratio. Also, HOU lost TO stat with 3 giveaways to 2 takeaways and still won.

And what is even crazier is that their point differential is greater than the Miami Dolphins - a team that might go down as the worst team in the history of football!

Hahaha Skip losing it over loss to Jete, blaming refs.

I grew up a Browns fan until the Pats were born, but even I enjoyed the heck out of seeing them lose again. The combination of Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham (The Mouths That Roared) is just to natural to pull against.

I don't remember ever seeing a game dominated by the refs as much as the Texas at New Jersey game. It was that way for 3/4 of the game. I'm almost always glad to see the NFC lose to the AFC though.

Imagine what it must be like to be locked in as a fan of the Buccaneers and have to accept Jameis Winston as your QB? I shudder to think of what that's like. I wonder how Belichick would handle that task. I don't think he'd be patting the guy on the shoulder to console him like everyone did on Sunday.

I remember saying a while ago that the NFCE is way over rated. They have a 9-15 overall record. Yuk. This week the only one of their teams that won was the Redskins who barely made it past the LOLphins.

The AFCE has the best won/lost % in the AFC with an 11-10 record. The AFCN is a putrid last at 8-15.

I'm hoping that this year is one when one or more teams with better records sit home for the playoffs while a worse division winner gets in. It would be better if that winner had a losing record... again.

I just made my first visit to Chiefsplanet with the intention of reading yesterday's game thread and found it was not on the first page of threads and there was no way to get to previous pages.

I next tried to read one of 9 threads on the 1st page and it wouldn't open.

Is this MB always this non-welcoming to guests?

The Texans have paid a price for their win against the Chiefs.

#Texans RT Tytus Howard suffered a sprained MCL, source said. He’s expected to miss several weeks, but Houston avoids worst-case scenario.

#Texans starting CB Bradley Roby is dealing with a hamstring injury from Sunday that is considered significant, sources say. He’s likely to miss about a month, though there is a bye during Week 10 that helps.

Still laughing because people got hyped over a Cowboys team coached by Jason Garrett. What a fraud of a coach.
I noticed that, after daJete kicked what I believe was their late FG, Garrett was high-fiving his players with both barrels as they were coming off the field...What the feck was he high-fiving them for? The only positive thing they did was a negative: they didn't commit a penalty that would've given da Jete a first down ... Whoop-de-damn-doo...

Garrett's not tough enough on his players and does not adequately enough demand accountability from them...If they lose - at home - to the Philthy birds next week, he's a gonner.

The #Bears make it official, with Kyle Long going on IR. With a $9.6M cap number next year and no guaranteed money due, this may be the end of his tenure in Chicago. twitter.com/RapSheet/statu…

From NFL Now: The #Seahawks likely lost TE Will Dissly for the season with a torn Achilles, another abrupt end after a promising start. pic.twitter.com/xFLQgjaam1

From The Aftermath: The fear is that #Steelers DE Stephon Tuitt has a torn pec, sources say. But he's getting an MRI to confirm and plot out the next course of action. pic.twitter.com/xtVBFDdnsJ

How will football fans feel when Stafford breaks Brady's yardage record? Will it put a lie to the importance of such a record?

Yes I assume Brady will have it before he retires.

I think there old threads are regularly deleted. Cause their board kind of sucks.

Also we cant forget when the pundits thought the chargers would roll into foxboro and end our dynasty and super bowl hopes. Look at things now, chargers are trash
I’m so old that I remember when SD (which they still are to me) was going to end the dynasty in 2006.
