Given the news I just saw, I thought it appropriate to start the thread. So, here we go.

The Steelers are down to their third-string quarterback.

Mason Rudolph has been ruled out after suffering a concussion last week, and that leaves Devlin Hodges to start on Sunday night against the Chargers. Former Broncos first-round pick Paxton Lynch will back Hodges up. Ben Roethlisberger is out for the season with an elbow injury.

Mason Rudolph ruled out, Devlin Hodges starts for Steelers

It’ll be super funny when it’s somehow a tight game late because the Chargers are doomed to underachieve.

Rams listing RB Todd Gurley as doubtful for Sunday and CB Aqib Talib as out.

I don’t know...you have to weigh their underachieving against their inevitable heartbreaking playoff near-miss. So they still need to win enough games where they miss out by one win. Chargering is a complicated process...it’s too easy to just lose all the time. They need to reel in the fans and media as they become the league’s most dominating team as the season ends and inexplicably bad luck/earlier season losses dooms them.

Bills will get crushed wildcard weekend while the Chargers are punching their pillows.

Talib has aged in dog years since the middle of last season.

Regards,
Chris

No doubt. Turns out it was another one of those “the best moves are the ones you don’t make” situations. The Patriots (reported a several sources) tried to trade with the Broncos to acquire him. Instead they’ve built a secondary so good I don’t think a healthy Talib would even see much playing time.

Miami is loving that Steelers trade

Early morning game on Sunday. Rich Eisen is tasked with getting Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci and Michael Irvin to share microphone time, while we mute them while waiting for the coffee to kick in as we wake up.

ohh goodie I get to watch the Redskins Dolphin game

As if the Steelers didn't have enough problems:

If the Steelers will be slowing down the Chargers’ passing game, they’ll be doing it without cornerback Steven Nelson.

Nelson has been downgraded to out for Pittsburgh, and he won’t be making the trip to L.A. for Sunday night’s game between the two teams.

The starting cornerback has a groin injury.

I do enjoy weeks when the Pats aren't playing or played earlier...no pressure..just kick back and watch football. The Red Zone channel is the best way to watch all of these games.

Subjecting almost the entire country to the Jets, that's just pure sadism CBS

Especially since that same Jets team will be in the MNF game the following week.

Luke Falk, thanks for playing. Now, sod off. Maybe we'll see you later, if you'll accept the pay cut.

Regards
The New York Jets

It’s not often that a player goes from starting quarterback directly to the waiver wire, but that’s exactly what happened to Jets quarterback Luke Falk this week.

Falk, who started the last two games for the Jets, was placed on waivers today.
