RUMOR? Patriots interest in AJ Green?

A WR or TE not in need?

If Watson is cut by Monday, then, patriots have 2 sub-avg players, LaCosse (not good) and Izzo (fair) left.

Can’t afford to activate Watson but can afford these guys?
Does Kraft have a secret slush fund once earmarked for “other” activities......but idle now?

Eifert have a very Fragile injury history:eek: call me leery.

Need to do something. The only good defense we have faced shut down our offense. That cannot happen. I think adding Eifert is a good move, you have to assume health when making the deal. I agree with others about Sanders over Green.
If Williams were an actual possibility I would focus on that deal over a TE or a WR but it seems Snyder will not allow it (supposedly).

If they sign Watson tomorrow, they will have depth at TE, but a WR goes down and it’s rooks. Want a ver WR.

Sign Watson? Isn’t he under contract anyhow?

I think wr is a priority after Watson returns..
Maybe we can also find a better blocking TE than Izzo for cheap (it won't be hard, he was the worst in nfl until last week game).
But, before deciding between aj green or sanders, I'd like to know how to pay any top wr without going to cap hell in 2020

Sorry if this has been posted. I haven't seen it anywhere.

Report: Patriots expected to 'push' for Bengals' A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert
Please God NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Let me say it AGAIN

1. Next year we are projected to have around $55MM in cap space. In that space we will need to resign or replace TWENTY FA's, including Brady, KVN. Collins, Shelton, Thuney DMcCourty, JJones and 13 other guys who are currently helping the team to a 5-0 record.

2. ANY deal that including these players would necessitate DECREASING that available number even further, not to mention that both players would come with significant cap numbers that would FURTHER decrease that number. Not to mention whatever draft compensation would cost us.

3. And for the umpteenth time, no WR we add will vastly improve our team. First because its a FREAKIN' WR, the most easily replaceable position in the league. 2nd because he how much would a WR be able to impact the offense coming in mid season with a new and vastly different system AND language. Think we are having foul ups NOW! At least now we have a chance to have it improve with time. What chance would a new guy have 2-4 weeks from now.

Let’s cut the left half of Brady. That’ll save us roughly $11.5M. Heck, we only need his right arm anyway :D

Well, there wouldn't be any loss of mobility .... :p

If you had your choice, the game would be played without WRs

have we ever had a late camp/midseason receiver acquisition actually become a productive player?
AB is the only guy who came in and showed flashes...is any ANYBODY else?

Deion Branch in 2010.

What about TYLER BOYD, WR CINCINNATI? How about him instead of TYLER GREEN?

Hey, what about Michael Thomas? Also, who is "Tyler Green"?

Not speaking for Ken but I feel where hes coming from here. I absolutely love the WR position & the many nuances it takes to be a great one. It's an important position but 100% dependable.

I see so much "WRs aren't getting open" but in reality they're not afforded the time to run or finish a route.

I wouldn't mind adding a cheap fit. Davis from Tennessee. Maybe we can get Pettis from SF. I don't think we need someone to come in to be a "WR1" or put up big #'s.

We need to stay healthy. Get Wynn back & let the OL gel together. That's it. That happens we're playing for another SB.

They'd have to give up a 4th for Eifert. Too rich, especially for a guy with that injury history.

AB was a dream come true for the offense and cost nothing in assets. The Krafts are demons.

GM Danger Zone: Dante, tell me who you want.

GM Danger Zone: Rob, if you come back, Belichick and Brady will let you have a sleepover with Gisele and Linda.

I agree with most of what you’re saying in terms of cost efficiency, but Jonathan Jones does not belong on this list, as he signed a 3 year extension prior to the start of the season.

While Brady will take up about half of next year’s projected cap (or so we’re expecting), I wouldn’t put it past Belichick to make a deal if he believes that the value is there.
