The Patriots have receiver problems

That fact that some people around here are 60-70 years old and post regularly is quite sad actually, and maybe you fall in this category.

There's some good pent up self-reflective insight in that sentence right there.

Ageism is one of the truly underrated -isms. Like fallibilism or cognitivism.

Yup they do.

The only guys that consistently get open vs a good defense are Edelman and White. The TE position is no viable threat and you cant game plan there anymore. Brady has no TE outlet because Gronk is selling CBD oil and the Patriots failed to address TE in the draft. Gordon has been a major disappointment. What is he? Not a deep threat. Not a guy who can get open when you watch the Pats scheme with a borderline pick play to finally get Gordon involved in the passing game. Dorsett is a #3 WR. Can you count on him when Brady is under attack? Maybe yes and maybe no.

Sony is not catching many passes that I see. Meyers? Burkhead? Bolden? The cupboards have 1 box of Mac n Cheese left.

The Pats receiving options are nothing special at all with the exception of Edelman. It explains why Brady was so excited to bring a cancer like AB aboard because he can at least get open and catch.

They've just finished the second-half of the pre-season. Now that they're on to the regular season, look for some changes in philosophy and play calling.

Guys arent getting open.

AB was brought here for a good reason. The Pats were willing to overlook his nonsense and put up with him if he could jump start the passing game.

Edelman and White are the go to guys. Gronk used to be too. The other guys are hit or miss. Burkhead might blow up and have a huge game and then vanish the following week. Ditto for Dorsett though he is off to a good start this season.

The Bills have the 2nd best secondary in football and played their best coverage game in years.

This overreaction is stupid.

Belichick felt the need to bring AB here and spend what was left in the cap.

Youre an idiot.

it wasn't a need, it was luxury. Why not get a premium talent without giving up picks when it makes your team better?

BINGO!

Nothing of this equates to a receiver problem now.

Name one that compares.

At owning? I don’t know...there are a lot of owners out there that are skilled at owning. I own a car and house and a dog. I’m pretty good at it.

Yeah I knew you had no answer for that.

When you say someone is the greatest owner of all-time, what exactly are you referring to? Team success under that owner? Facilities management? GM hires?

Everything together. Win-loss/championship success, stadium financing (how much private, how much soak the taxpayers), growth of the business, philanthropy/return to the community, gameday experience for fans, communications/marketing, etc.

No one in modern American sports history (past 50 years) in ANY of the US 4 major sports comes close. It's not hyperbole. Once again, if you have a name, bring it.

I wanted to rate that post but until we can speak with the dog the best I could do is an incomplete, which doesn't seem to be an option.

Yeah right, all problems in the universe are solved by getting another WR. This thread is pitiful. You all sound like whiny millennial fantasy football players who's team just lost by one point because you played this guy instead of that one.

Adam Schefter
?
@AdamSchefter
Patriots needed more offensive help, period. They had been trying to trade for Mohamed Sanu since before the 2019 draft.

So after 3 games of good stats and 3 TD's, Dorsett suddenly becomes an idiot after one game where EVERYBODY on offense sucked There a LOTS of reasons why the offense didn't work yesterday and we will find in the next coming weeks that MOST of them didn't involve the WR's, because over the next few weeks the offense will become better and this unsightly panic will abate.....hopefully.

Patriots still have Receiver problems...and Old Expensive Slo-Mo doesn't do A FECKIN THING to help the situation.

Little Billy once again gets anal-raped in a trade with a former protege...he should've told Dimitroff that the 2nd-rounder is for Austin Hooper ONLY, and that if he didn't like it then he can go FECK OFF...
