Why don’t you post his playoff stats ?
He cost us the AFC Championship against Denver a couple years ago & he almost cost us the Super Bowl vs Atlanta.

I've always wondered, why is it only kickers that can be blamed if their bad plays happen in the middle of a game?

Gost missed a XP in the Super Bowl against Atlanta. That cost us a point. Tom Brady threw a pick 6. That cost us 7 points.

Why is it never Tom's fault?

If memory serves me correct, Brady had a pretty good second half vs the Falcons.

Ghost misses xtra points on a regular basis in the Super Bowl & his missed XP vs Denver cost us the championship game.

How did his missed XP cost us the game against Denver? Was it the final play? I seem to recall a lot of plays after that.

As for the Falcons Super Bowl, yes, Brady had a great 2nd half, no doubt. He made up for it, the same way Vinatieri made up for some playoff misses with his clutch kicks with no time left. Now name all the times Gost has missed a kick in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.

Look, I'm not going to pretend that Gost is playing great right now and doesn't need to improve. He's the first person that would tell you that. I'm just tired of the "he cost us the AFC Championship" argument. It's not as if every other player on the team played a perfect, flawless game and he missed the kick with no time on the clock.

And the idea that had he made the kick, every decision, every playcall and every result would have gone 100% exactly the same all the way through Gronk's TD catch simply isn't reality.

How many turnovers did Brady have in those two games again ?

"Regular Basis" ... You make it sound like this team gets to the Super Bowl a lot.

Oh, wait. They do!

Even with dropped passes, missed tackles, interceptions thrown, and missed kicks, this team is a contender every year. Any one of those mistakes can lead to a loss. Sorry they're not perfect.

Getting a little concerning. But Ghost has earned the rope to get it corrected. But man, yikes.

Your a pretty good excuse maker...

Now tell me a kicker who has missed more extra points in the playoffs in the history of football.

Once you normalize that meaningless cumulative stat for the amount of games played it won't be Ghost.

Because Brady is the QUARTERBACK. Ya know the most important position. He’s not on the sideline the majority of the game picking his nose.

Check the percentages Einstein

Doesn't excuse him from ****ing up.

Ok let me explain this slower for your old brain:

In that case 4-0 will make Montana always be a more successful QB than Brady with his laughable 6-3. Because percentages.

Gostkowski misses his third PAT in two weeks, more than he missed in 2018 total.

But of course, nothing to see here. He could set a record for missed PATs and the excuses will keep on coming.

Excuse maker? You're the one blaming a loss on one play in the middle of the game and ignoring everything else that happened.

And considering a recent rule change dropped the probability of making XPs down from 99.9% and Ghost has played in the most playoff games since then, it's him. Go figure.

So percentages don’t matter?
Then what does?

Funny a few years ago I called Hoo-man a jag
& all the koolaid drinkers came out of the woodwork.

He was a total JAG....
He turned out to be less than a JAG in New Orleans.

I am not linking you to those fools.

Let’s see how the season plays out.
I hope he gets better, but he is a little long in the tooth.

I honestly hope he never misses another XP in the playoffs, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

No excuses, he needs to play better. But we also have to face the reality that missed XPs are more common now. There's been 5 more today, not including Gostkowski. Will Lutz missed one, two weeks after making a 58 yard FG to win the game. So did Brandon McManus. Would you be opposed to either of those guys being on our team now?

They just keep drinking the koolaid.

They just keep drinking the koolaid.

There is no koolaid.

He is one of the best kickers of all time. He has a new guy doing the holding that clearly affected the timing as is obvious if you just watch the operation. They will figure it out, we will keep winning and that is all that matters.
