Antonio Brown

Maybe this is already the final strike but if AB does one more thing like the text he’s gotta go. How can Patriots trust he’ll do what he’s supposed to do if he can’t even just shut up and let his lawyer handle things?

Is he going to go rogue in the Super Bowl if Brady doesn't get him the ball?

Hill was never suspended by the NFL nor has he missed a game due to discipline.

Edit: missed sarcasm. Well done.
I'm glad we're using Hill as a comparison. Because all of you thought he definitely shouldn't be suspended when all the allegations about him came out.

His multimillion dollar contract has a conduct clause in it - I agree that's an issue, but his union agreed to it in bargaining. He's an NFL player - a highly public figure and one of the faces of the league - and not, like, working at the local CVS or something. In the end Antonio Brown has nobody to blame but Antonio Brown.
His conduct clause doesn’t say “any conduct good or bad that we decide to invoke”

There is no way on earth that sending perfectly legal texts that someone decides to publish and misrepresent to create hysteria qualifies as detrimental conduct.
If it did the nfl could suspend people for bad haircuts.

So you want it to be explicit.

Something like, "I'm gonna kill you."

If someone like Brown wrote in a text, "Eric B, look into her. Here are pictures of her kids," you'd be like, "Well, I don't much care for this text, but it certainly isn't intimidating."

Read the texts! Yes look into her dirty laundry like she aired his on a national known magazine. I am sure brown got those pictures from her same social media website . Give me a break.

Yeah though that was more to demean her than anything. "This lady is poor, look at these kids who look poor" is what he was saying, however odd that is. That said, it wouldn't make me happy.

I saw an unredacted picture of those kids. They looked fine. They looked like anyone's good kids. Nothing wrong with them.

Take him to civil court and that’s that. Don’t bring more attention on a well known magazine.
Why not? A classic part of civil litigation is doing stuff to put pressure on the other side. This is old hat.

Umm, actually I didn't. I'm all over ChiefsPlanet saying just that.

I was waiting for the DCS to complete their investigation.

With that said I think hes a PoS.

He's the GM. He's gotta have the organization's best interest in mind at all times.

He failed here imo.
Why? Because it might make the Pats look bad? LOL

News flash: EVERYBODY, not a Pats fan, hates the Pats already.

BB has nothing to lose. And a lot to gain.

Honestly, that latter part is what concerns me. If Brown ends up playing second fiddle to Gordon or Edelman, will he start recording the locker room or whining publicly? But that was always a concern. The main question at this point is whether he'll last long enough for that to even matter.

Hill was recorded on audio threatening his gf/wife. Hills son had a broken arm.

Can’t compare the 2.

The conduct clause pretty much says exactly that, actually. "Conduct detrimental to the team." That's extremely broad and it doesn't make a difference whether that conduct is legal or illegal in a criminal court. The team essentially has the sole discretion to determine what that means.

And then there's the right of the NFL to suspend and that's also very broad.

Well don’t complain when the guy comes right back at you and says dig up some dirt on her!

She could have said no to SI and writing her story. She brung more attention to it. I would be pissed if i am brown but brown brung this on himself . Either way she brung more attention to it and she has to deal with it!

Why would she defend the guy who sexually harassed her and didn't even pay her for her paintings?

Why defend him?

It's enough for me to know she didn't seek to publicize this. When asked by a reporter what went down, she told the truth.

Good for her.

I think the biggest concern of dumping him is the Chiefs get him. AB told Bill Simmons back in February that the ideal offense for him would be New England or KC. Hill and AB would be absurd. That might be two of the three best receivers in the league.

Which is why Taylor's attorneys filed the civil suit when they did. Maximum pressure on Brown to settle, while he was dealing with all these other issues.

A lot of times, journalists/writers find out about other accusers who don't want to come out/sue/get involved from others, approach them, and convince them to come forward (even if there is no monetary angle to the accuser). Those accusers often see that the accused allegedly committed a lot of other unseemly acts and feel obliged to tell their story.

doubt we dump him.

He can hire a PI. No one would blast him for that. It would be stupid, but we're talking about Antonio Brown here. It's expected.

What he did is include her on a text asking his flunkie Eric B to look into her, and then he put up pictures of her kids.

Entirely different than what you are talking about.

I don't have time to research anecdotal evidence from one poster. The vast majority of those here, including those defending Brown ardently, wanted him banned/suspended.

I don't see the Chiefs picking him up.
