What the hell did they talk about for ten hours anyway? I figure a testimony would take 4-5 hours with frequent breaks...followed up by 10-15 uncomfortable questions tops.

10 hours?

Exactly, which is why I'm worried...

Somebody said it was 10 hours because they didn't want to watch the Jets.:D

So what? Do you actually think he cares one bit? Especially since public sentiment will be overwhelmingly on his side for multiple reasons (Patriot hatred, political incorrectness of questioning a female alleged victim's account, etc.)

What political incorrectness when she has lied about the relationship they had but the media won’t put that out there or those videos that Brown leaked. The media controls everything. They won’t expose this phony commissioner instead they will applaud him for getting the big bad patriots.

It's all a show to make the NFL Upper Echelon look like they care. Kraft didn't put em in a good light.

For someone so adept at law, contracts and rules I must say
it's surprising to see you take the public sentiment angle.

If the NFL suspends Brown over a civil suit, the NFLPA will declare war.

Which is the last thing Goodell wants going into negotiating the CBA. If it weren’t for the upcoming CBA negotiations, you can bet your arse that neither Tyreek Hill or Josh Gordon would have been playing in week 1.

10 hours? That’s a stretch. I’m not buying it. I wanna know if she has videos or mostly text.

Flight - 3 hours.
Taxi ride - 45 minutes
A NY slice - 1:15 minutes
Waiting in waiting room- 30 minutes
Spoke with NFL reps- 1:30 minutes
Trip back- 3 hours

Point stands that Goodell can place AB on the exempt list without hard proof. Setting a bad precedent? Sure. Unfair? Yep. But he can do it. And it will have a huge impact on the Pats offensive and overall brand. There's nothing the Pats can do if he's suspended.

The NFLPA were morons in the last CBA for allowing this little clause to go through.

And to think Brady had a shot at derailing the Fuhrer if he continued his case...

Well, shame on the players for negotiating and agreeing on a CBA provision that explicitly allows Goodell to do just that.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that commissioners in other sports simply aren't allowed to do it.

I'd be very surprised to find out the commissioners in other sports are anything other than thankful they aren't allowed to do it.

It's surprising to me that any NE fan would think Goodell would do the fair, impartial thing.
Also, since at least some people seem not to get it, I'm not wanting Goodell to suspend Brown, I'm expecting it. He's a craven little finger to the wind pissant, so of course I'm taking the public sentiment angle.

Has there been a single one of these things that Goodell handled properly?

He is possibly the greatest example of success “despite of” rather than “because of”.

But he is what he is : an overpaid puppet to trot out while the owners sit in the shadows.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where women are not believed on all levels. The common denominator seems to be that these women all want something, while many of us withhold opinions based on judicial or other legal proceedings. The reality is one could be an opportunist, several increases the culpability of the accused.

AB is not a nice man, is not a pillar of the community.. sounds like an entitled man with no boundaries, who is used to getting away with a lot of crap.. he does what he wants without an internal moral compass..

From my comfy couch let him go and allow him to deal with the morass of his mounting legal issues away from the Patriots organization... not much good will happen from any of this..
In one sentence you say women are not believed, and in the next breath say you don't believe him?

I take it you haven’t read @Actual Pats Fan ’s literature about Kraft and his uniform changing fascist ways.
Yeah but nobody can take away everything Kraft did to get us here.

Maybe he didn't know we'd get a player like Tom - but Bob did put the franchise in position to succeed and thrive.

I obviously disagree with some decisions he's made, but without him we're most likely sitting here today at zero titles won.

Yeah, I’m a bit surprised to see the comments about Brown’s potential to go unscathed. I’m not sure what people are thinking, considering who’s running the show. Then again, fans convince themselves of BS all the time in order to make themselves feel better.

I’ll be relieved if he’s suspended and can come back for the postseason run. For me, that’s pretty much where my hope is at. Goodell isn’t likely to give Brown or the Patriots the benefit of the doubt. He’s heading up a crooked system that can’t be replaced until the next CBA.

Thought it was today. They met with his accuser for 10 hrs. Don't sound good for AB.
