Big Ben out for season

Whether it be through injuries or decline in play, age 36-39 is when it’s likely over for most QBs.

Age 37 Roethlisberger - IR
Age 37 Rivers - arm strength going
Age 38 Manning - been done for years
Age 40 Brees - playing well, uncommon injury

& then there is one
All true. One of the MANY beauties re: Brady is that he studies so hard and knows the game so well - he can continue to lead with success even in the event his arm isn't what it was...

Ben out for the season. Brees out for several games. Sam Darnold out for several games. Nick Foles injured. Cam Newton looks like one-foot into retirement. Andrew Luck actually retired before the season even started. Not a good season for starting QBs around the league.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is still around. That is all that matters.

No quarterback will ever be less missed in the locker room. The team will rally around Rudolph if he is even decent on the field. I don’t think Roethlisberger starts another game there. Seems like a great NYJ blockbuster waiting to happen.

Watching Colin Cowherd and don't like his spin that Ben's elbow was a big reason for his poor play against the Pats.

If that happens I wonder if people will complain endless about their weak division.

It's odd to say but depending on what happens tonight the Ravens have a good chance to nearly lock up their division (statistically speaking) in week 2.

I still have serious doubts about the Ravens though.

Totally agree. The big questions with them are:
1- Will defenses eventually figure out L. Jackson? (probably yes)
2- Will Earl Thomas stay healthy? I think he's the primary reason why their defense looks good right now (the secondary reason being weak opponents).

Tomlin's tenure saved. This excuse is good for us Pats fans as this dysfunctional easily game planned against HC likely gets a pass for this season.

The question now: is Ben Hall of Fame worthy? Probably.

Since he wasn't convicted of rape, he will likely get in. 3 super bowl appearances and 2 titles...it makes it difficult to keep him out. Eli is more of a borderline candidate imo.

Also will defenses put on a hurting on a running QB like they have done to many over the last 15 years.

Wow, big blows for the NFL in week two. Big Ben, Brees. This will affect the spectacle bigly. Already I have no interest in watching tonight's game. Imagine other matchups going forward.

With the talent on NE (especially on D), is there an AFC team outside of KC that you feel confident could beat a Stidham lead NE ? I don't mean "could", but rather "you are almost convinced"

Here is the interesting thing.
The WR/RB group has been built in a way that would make it easy for a green QB to succeed.
Imagine an untested rookie playing in Brady’s place yesterday, then imagine him in Fitzpatrick’s place. Could be the difference between Dak Prescott’s rookie year and Sam Rosen’s.

On the other hand the shape of the OL right now says a green QB would be in deep ****.

In breaking news, AB releases his reaction to Big Ben's tragedy. :p

never mind
