Fantastic night for Phillip Dorsett

4 of Brady’s last 5 TD passes have been caught by Dorsett.
Exactly. Last season games, pre-season game with Panthers and the last game with Steelers, there are examples of trust between Dorsett and Brady. I do not know exact numbers but I am sure Dorsett caught almost everything from Brady. Good, proven and cheap WR.He needs to stay with the team.

I wouldn't mind if we can extend him for around 5 million per year. He is a reliable target.

Dorsett led the team in receiving yards and took 2 balls across the line. For a guy who half the board wanted to cut, he had one heck of a game 1.

Brady was mentioning all preseason that he's been developing chemistry with Dorsett , I think he literally called PD "fun to throw to" at one point and we sure saw that. Dude's got some speed and can definitely get open down the field, he showed that last night.

If defenses have to take Dorsett seriously, alongside our other heavier weapons, this could be a fun season. Like they go to cover 1 zone to double team Gordon on a short route where he can use his hands and body, but McD throws Brown down one sideline and Dorsett down the other and White mucking around down by the first down marker. Good luck guys!

How could you forget about Edelman eating linebackers lunch

Imagine this:

Dorsett, Edelman, and AB in trips on one side, and Gordon split out on the other end, isolated.

raw

Right at the start of the video, look at the double move by Dorsett. That little subtle hip shake sent the Steelers defender on a fool's errand to nowhere, and Dorsett got a free release.

That was seriously dirty, and the defender fell for it hook, line and sinker.

The CB looked confused there on whether they were playing zone or man seems like he chose zone.

Hilton (#28) dropped to double Gordon who is on the right of the frame, and pulled up when he saw Brady looking elsewhere.

But the thing about this TD is that Dorsett recognized quarters coverage and split the safeties, and knew that Brady would see the same thing, and he did. Talk about being on the same page.

Yeah meant to post that Izzo was the only weak link in that that formation receiving wise. Gordon - Edelman - Dorsett and White. The D was focused on Eldelman - Gordon and White... what can a D do if we say swap out a Dorsett with say AB or go Four Wide with White in the backfield?? McDaniel's have the Best and most fearsome group of toys he ever had.

Why swap out Dorsett? Keep them all on the field- Edelman, AB, Dorsett, Gordon, and White out of the backfield.

Edelman and Dorsett can play anywhere. It will take AB a while to get to that point.

Also, Gordon has been taking on more and more of what Gronk used to do (a.k.a., seam routes).

Young, fast, humble, reliable, relatively cheap. What’s not to love ?

And yet many have had him gone since he came here.

Boy we never let an opportunity to take pot shots at each other go to waste do we
What's the point of being right if you cant tell others just how wrong they were? :p

That second TD catch was so easy that I was sure they wouldn't connect on it. The ball seemed to hang in the air forever watching it in person. Man that was awesome.

I was thinking of all the fans in attendance. It must have been an electric feeling seeing that 6th flag. You all deserve that moment for the support that you've shown the team.

After 12 years both of our two sons and their families are finally within driving distance. A mere half hour apart and an hour from Foxboro to be exact. Once we all get settled in (two of us have just moved) I'll be getting tickets to one or more of the games.

Came to this thread to eat crow about Dorsett I wanted him cut for Gunner or Harris.
I'm so happy the receivers are living in Harmony everybody knows on this forum I love receivers and I'm so glad so far this year BB agrees with me.
The more the merrier.

Oh, sure. YOU would say that.
Our SB 54 celebration thread will undoubtedly include a reference to my "NO WAY IN HELL DOES BB SIGN AB" post. Like what did I ever do to y'all except be arrogantly wrong?

I don't think AB will have any problems picking up our O like Gordon he can run the entire Route tree and can also line-up anywhere at WR. Hey somebody's gotta say it but AB is > both Edelman and Gordon and this is coming from a Edelman fan.

Have you forgotten how Dorsett and Hogan performed when tasked with wr#1-2 duties while Edelman was out.
Dorsett did pretty well. He had 16 catches over the first 4 games.

Maybe JE and AB should do a cover of Paul & Stevie's hit.

Yes, on 26 targets. And he was the WR2 for those games. Hogan, the WR1, had just 8 catches on 15 targets. That was the first quarter of the season, and it was a clear sign (looking back) that Hogan had lost a step and couldn't get free the way he'd previously been able to do. And, if I could ask BB just one question about last year, it might very well be asking him why Hogan kept getting the playing time over Dorsett when it seemed that Dorsett was playing better.

I’ve been predicting this for a long time
