I have an Economics Degree so Im pretty sure i can confirm that the 6.3 Million we have in cap space is less than the 9M up to 15 that we've agreed with AB.

Who is being given as an offerend to the gods?

Any predictions or guesses?

I have no idea... Brady already re-worked, so... I don't see an easy answer

Jones extension should lower this year’s cap hit.

Guess #2 would be Philip Dorsett. I think you’d save a couple of million there + the position is a bit crowded.

Also, as Miguel mentioned, it’s possible that it’s a two year deal structured like Revis’.

maybe the jonathon jones extension freed up some space. and the release of the backup center.

McCourty? DT cut? Cannon? Mason? White? Edelman? (I don’t know.)

Even if it's Dorsett, he alone won't be enough. But yeah, clarity is needed for the J. Jones transacton

I think it’s safe to think that his extension lowered his 2019 hit. It’s also quite possible that the AB pact was structured in a way to keep this year’s hit more manageable than you think, like Revis in 2014.

Imagine there will be extensions/restructures coming soonish

All true statments, but Revis' deal was 2 years, AB's 1 year, so they literally can't spread out. But i don't know enough about NFL's financially to say for certain that they couldn't...

I don't know, Im super pumped but this all too crazy for me. It's saturday and I was already drinking

Miguel is speculating that it might actually be a 2 year deal. The Revis signing was originally reported as a 1 year deal as well.

I saw a tweet where Miguel is speculating that it may actually be a two year deal in the vein of Revis. We’ll have to see. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where one of the WRs isn’t cut, and it will be interesting to see if they try and save money with Dorsett or simply move on from one of the kids (Meyers, Gunner).

I have half an Economics degree (other half history) and I'm sure the math is already done. And I'm sure that Edelmen is not part of that equation. He is the happiest guy in the world not having to worry about LB and safeties coming over the middle to kill him when he has AB and Gordon on either side of him.

And my History degree reminds me that not even a SUPER team, like the Pats are looking to be, is a lock for the SB (see Pats/Giants). Everyone should slow their roll a tiny bit.

Gunner is out.

Like most folks I suspect it is going to be a Revis type contract. I also doubt how fully guaranteed the guarantee number we are hearing is

Gunner is out.
This transaction will only go down officially monday. He'll be in roster for at least one more day for sure

We don't know that. Revis' deal was also reported as a one year contract initially. The second year option was only revealed after the contract details got out.

Yep, that's the most common thing thrown around and makes a lot of sense. We'll see soon

Example #20 million as to why Mike Florio should report, not opine:

If they thought they could manage him, they weren’t paying attention to the things he was saying while he was trying to tweet his way out of Pittsburgh. Before anyone else tries to manage him, they need to realize that, while he will indeed show up and work hard and play hard, he can’t and he won’t be managed. He’s doing things his way, and if you want the benefit of his talent that’s the bargain you have to make.

And that will make a deal with New England even less likely.
