Patriots Cuts

The roster had to have been submitted to NFL offices 50 minutes ago. Someone should be able to place a phone call and find out what the Pats have done

I see 2-3 IR moves to come, which will open up spots. So, anyone who gets cut and either makes it through waivers, or doesn't go through them in the first place, is someone I'm going to be looking at as a possible return, at least until those IR spots get filled, and maybe until week 2. History tells us that such is the way to go in this league.
Boston globe said that’s unlikely. Josh and BB have made their decision. Time to move on, besides I’ve heard the broncos are now interested in Hoyer

???

We have McCourty, Jackson, and Gilmore
Our backups are Jones and Williams

We're just fine thank you.

What scares me is that this might be DMac's last year, might be JMac's, too, and JJones is a FA and will get some $$$$. They traded Dawson and Crossen...cupboard is sparse behind the starters.

Good TE news. Browns released Seth Devalve. Dude is a beast.

I volunteer as tribute.

OT: The Etling gun got cut in Atlanta.

I assume they draft two safeties and a CB next year with their plethora of picks. Also a TE or 2.

If the Patriots actually believe in Stidham as a future starter by draft time next year it opens up the draft to fill the holes in the roster aggressively.

The Broncos may indeed complicate things but you're acting like you know for sure when you don't and calling people "fanboys" when that's exactly what you are for Stidham.

All moves were turned in at 4pm.. blame the league..

The team could make the announcements; so could a media person that the team has given the info. The info on lots of teams is out there.

But, yes, the league should be blamed for everything.

They are checking to see if the Pats were cheating in any way...

The Broncos rumor came out immediately after Hoyer was cut. So did a rumor that the Colts were interested..

Who knows what will happen. Only time will actually tell..

Not really, I’d say the same thing for any rookie QB taken in rounds 1-4.

Boston globe said. Lol

Obviously, all the transactions have been made and filed bringing them down to 53. Of course not every player has Gunner’s media contacts to report their status, so we’ll just have to wait until the Patriots let us know.

I said "Next year." I like having developmental DBs. Webster, then, I guess.

The team could be waiting until all personnel have been informed. Some players may not have been in today, though you'd think everyone would want to be in at some point..

I didn't mention anyone in particular. If the team wants to needlessly risk the season in order to keep a 19th string DB, that's the team's call. I think it's a needless gamble given Brady's age, but it's at least logical, so I don't see it as something to go nuts about. But, if Brady gets hurt, the toldyas that will be let loose across New England are going to be epic.
