I definitely think Gunner has more upside, but as far as what they can bring to the team this year I don't think they're in direct competition with each other. Meyers is clearly the better WR right now, while Gunner is almost purely a ST guy this year.

I think that works in Gunner's favor, since we have 5 WR you can't really cut (Edelman, Thomas, Gordon, Dorsett, Harry) and don't need more than that. I had Meyers on the bubble with the return of all the other WRs but Gunner stepping up for a spot makes that easier.

This is crazy I think you keep him and say we are running a 1 tight end team with Watson.
Zach Ertz isn't walking thru that door.

TEs job is at least 50% blocking, TE2 may be 80% and TE3 90% so name value and pass catching doesn’t have a lot to do with how many we keep. (It will have to do with how many snaps TE1 get though)

Yeah, I think that's a fair point. I think they both make the team, but barring WR injuries I think Gunner is in a position to make a more immediate contribution this year as a potential ST swiss army knife.
