Mods could we please update thread title to something like “Massive Story: Andrew Luck to Retire!” This thread title is embarrassing.
I tweaked it.

So, anybody have predictions for the AFC South?

Tell me how bad the injuries to the Texans' players were, and I'll rank that division. I think it's an easy call to say that the Colts just dropped to the 4 spot, though. If Brissett proves me wrong about such a prediction, I'll be happy to see it happen.

"Tom Brady is going to retire at age 36 and then Andrew Luck is going to dominate the AFC for a decade."

I'm sure a good many fried cowbrain eaters have uttered this exact phrase.

Yeah that booing is some scumbag ****. Didn't they boo a freaking kid wearing a patriots jersey for the punt pass and kick awards in 2007 too?

Luck had 638 pass attempts last year, second only to Roethlisberger. That is ridiculous for someone coming off a major injury (ies).

he deserves a ton better than that team and those fans.

Brisett is perfect from our POV, just good enough to keep them from tanking but not good enough to make them a serious contender

Colts fans have always been trash.

Probably the part where you call the best, or second best, "young" QB (Depending on whether you're already willing to crown Mahomes' ass) in the NFL a disappointment, because that's crazy talk.

The only crazy talk here is you suggesting that Mahomes vs. Luck is in any way debatable. Mahomes is 23 and he's already passed Luck's career totals in MVPs, all pro berths, and has shown himself to be a better playoff performer. Whether or not someone wants to 'cown his ass' doesn't matter, because he's accomplished more in one season of starting than Luck did in his entire career. That's just an objective fact.

Also, calling Luck young was debatable 2 years ago, now it's just factually inaccurate. He turns 30 in a couple weeks. I know it's easy to learn perspective of this stuff with Brady still performing at 42, but no sensible person has ever considered 30 'young' in NFL terms.

If, on the day the Colts drafted Luck, you told everyone in that organization "this guy will accomplish less from this point forward than the guy you just dumped for him. He will never play in a Super Bowl and will never make an All Pro team", every last one of them would consider that a disappointment.

When we were busy blowing out Indy. I had so many colts fans telling me that lol.

Irsay is a god damn mess at this presser, basically trying to start up a comeback campaign already.

I will miss those Dearest Abigail letters.

--GEN (Ret.) Andrew Luck

Let me just say that I feel bad for Luck.

But for the Colts, they can go F themselves.

What’s the over/under on Jim Irsay going after Luck for the cash? “Sorry we surrounded you with an awful OL and ruined your career, but we’re gonna need that money we paid you back now - Jimmy just ran out of his last batch of coke.”
