You guys really want to get rid of Big Play Harmon? I’m shocked. Harmon is a key part of the defense.

Maybe if they had drafted someone with a higher round pick, but the cupboard isn’t exactly stuffed at safety to begin with now. One injury to DMac/Chung/Harmon and we could see a ton of issues.

If the only roadblock between Trent Williams and a Patriots uniform is Duron Harmon...then Trent Williams it is.

This seems pretty straight forward to me. Trade for Williams, have him play LT, push Wynn to either super sub or RT with Cannon subbing at lt/rt.

LT is really the only question mark on an otherwise really good looking team. If that can be less of a question mark for a 3rd or 3/4 (I doubt he's getting more than that), why not?

As far as the cap space, unless they truly believe Gronk is coming back later, freeing up an additional $4-5m isn't too hard. Restructure Gilmore or McCourty. Jonathan Jones is $3m alone and seems like he may not even make the team with all the secondary pieces they have.

Bit worried that Chung is going to be done instantly if he loses a bit of speed. Harmon didn’t have a great year but still a valuable piece. I’d look to deal picks to the Skins.

The same McCourty who turned back into his old self from week 16 through the Super Bowl? I think it would be a monumental mistake to cut the leader of the defense. He's everything to the team.

Regardless, we can't afford Williams. Pats are really in a cap crunch.

So you must have forgotten that pick 6 against Buffalo that tracked him as the fasted player in the league last season.

Generally, no comment suggests that there's something happening - if the source is credible obviously.

However, clearly his agent's primary agenda is to maximize his clients earnings by suggesting there is a bidding war. So: if the rumor is false, there is no reason for him to shoot it down, and "no comment" keeps stoking the rumor (of many suitors). If the rumor is true, hopefully this drives up the price of his client because of a bidding war, and more rumors will doubtlessly be forthcoming.

If we trade for Trent Williams, the Wynn pick would be a total waste...unless they move him over to RT and cut Cannon or include him as part of the package for Williams.

Or trade Cannon, who is 31 and not the 2nd Team All Pro he was before, to a team like the Texans (ultimate **** you move if we get Williams), move Thuney over to RT, and stick in Wynn at LG.
