I prefer to watch the Twitter draftniks like Matt Waldman, Mark Schofield, The FootballGuys etc reviewing the draft picks instead of the regular NFL Network, ESPN etc.
Anyone know of any worth watching?

I know SI has a show with some of the PFF guys in attendance:
How to watch Sports Illustrated's NFL Draft show

And someone mentioned the Draftek Continuously Updated Live Draft Simulation:
2019 NFL Mock Draft
They currently have AJ Brown as the pick for the Patriots at pick 32 in the First Round.

Thanks for this topic, I particularly appreciate knowing about streaming options (I don't have cable). Does anybody remember how long round 1 took last year?

Also, any tips for making the time pass quicker, given that it's Passover so beer is not an option? :p

If you're not sick and tired of reading my writing, I'm always looking for readers. I'm gathering feedback right now on my rough draft so that I can rewrite the entire thing over the summer/fall. It's a YA fantasy novel, so I understand it won't appeal to everyone, but if you're really desperate, let me know. It's not as cheesy as my draft short story, I promise. o_O

I cannot promise I'll get to it anytime soon but if you send it over I'll give it a go. I'm a big reader with Fantasy, Sci Fi and historical fiction being my top three genres but I'll read anything. I generally prefer Grimdark but will read YA. Malazan Book of the Fallen is by far my favorite fantasy series.

If you want to relive the draft after the event, The Draft Show put all three days of the draft live on their podcast. It’s a Cowboys centered podcast but they’re all really good and it’s main benefit is that it features Dane Brugler throughout. They cover every single pick. It is the best draft podcast by far a) because of Brugler and b) because they go really deep into the draft unlike the big podcasts that tend to do first round prospects only (looking at you ESPN First Draft).

Based on your post, I started reading Malazan. I'm about two books in now, and while it took some time to get my bearings, I'm really enjoying the story. Erikson includes many elements that I wanted to include, but he does it much better! We even use some of the same terminology, although they mean different things. I'll have to change up my approach a bit. I'm impressed and also a little disappointed that I'm not as original as expected. ;)

Anyway, thanks a ton for the suggestion. I'm taking notes so I can improve my next draft.

Glad you're enjoying it. Erikson doesn't spoon feed the reader information and rather makes them think for themself so it does take a while to get oriented.

Sorry I still haven't gotten to your book. I completed a long work project and should have more time in the next month.

PFF had SloJuan at the back of the 3rd round on their horizontal board.

Sounds right to me.

Incidentally, that's one of the complaints that a few of my test readers have had: I don't give them enough framework to put together all the players and the powers that be. Since I'm aiming for a younger audience compared with Malazan, I'm making it simpler to get up to speed. I'm enjoying the sense of wonder that comes with piecing together everything in Erikson's series, however.

No rush at all to read. I'm still slogging my way back through the draft, creating scene-by-scene notes so that I can begin major revisions by the end of the year. The goal is always to improve (just like the Patriots; lots of lessons leaned from the way they ramp up each year), so it doesn't matter where in the process you read the story. There's always room for improvement in the next iteration. If you don't get to the rough draft in its current form, you could try to clear some time next year -- and if that's not feasible, then don't stress over it. I appreciate the offer regardless! :)
