Brady gets suspended: Pats win SB
Edelman gets suspended: Pats win SB
...
im glad we had at least one player suspended!!!
Yep! Ninko in 2016 too. If they happen to suspend Kraft, we’re going 19-0!

Just glad to have Edelman this year for the first quarter of the season to provide some stability

That’s alright. He’s old, may be better to reduce the ware.

Watson is a smart guy, but this was uninformed. Testosterone doesn't heal body or mind.
I think Watson is a very smart man but I think he's speaking in 1/2 truths here.

These guys cycle on/off the juice during the regular and off season. He cycled off when he thought he was done and when he changed his mind he started the cycle late, rolled the dice and lost.

I really don't care because it's the culture and what these guys need to do to play in this league. So a 38 year old player sits for 4 games......darn.

JE did the same thing. He was recovering from an injury. He needed a boost to heal. He got pinched. Short term was he was suspended. Long term gain was healthier, an MVP of the SB and $19m richer.

Shoulda used ray rays antler spray

I’ll go further : every player in the league should model their life on the wonderful, delightful Ray Lewis. He is such a man of faith and an excellent role model as well.

RLKAG Forever.

The behavioral problem is that there is no medical reason to think testosterone helped him heal. The risk was real, but the benefit was not. Bad calculation.

My question is this.. Why is Watson being given a random drug test after he'd already retired. He'd filed all his paperwork and been officially moved to the Reserve/Retired list?

Regaining muscle mass. Who knows

Mack - Your statements aren't accurate and actually imply that you've not heard of the complications of age-related testosterone imbalance.

Some of the items that occur are as follows:
Memory issues - including loss, fatigue,
Anxiety & Irritability
Extreme Fatigue
Depression
healing times exacerbated

This isn't pseudo science with back-room quacks. This is stuff that I know, for a fact, doctors talk to their patients about. Particularly patients over the age of 35.

ROFLMAO... Dude.. You just lost any respect I had for you.. The fact is that there was ZERO proof that Edelman had been juicing. In fact, the league only ever stated that it was an unknown substance.

I'm going to also say that you have clearly never heard of Age-related Testosterone imbalance. It's a real thing that affects millions of men.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy for Men

This is a legitimate medical issue.. Not some half-baked BS which is what your post amounts to.

Sorry. I think players do what they need to do to play and have long careers.

If you think Ben was on hormone therapy great.

If you don't respect my views I really don't give a ****

Testosterone is approved to raise testosterone levels in guys who are hypogonadal. The idea that testosterone leveles decrease with age is not well supported by data. Heavy marketing campaigns by drug companies promoted the notion that loss if male virility is due to low-T, and that testosterone can fix you. None of this is supported by scientific studies and has nothing to do with "healing.". There is lots of folklore at the gym about testosterone and many docs have prescribed it based on marketing and folklore including the things you mention. Controlled scientific studies do not exist to support these claims, which is the reason testosterone is not approved to treat the symptoms you mention. Much more is known about the risks.

I'm not really sold on Watson contributing to this team. Hopefully Bill will get Rudolph, or Gronk will come back.

@robertweathers has lost the respect of some anonymous self important internet denizen who doesn't understand the meaning of the word. How will he ever survive??!!

If it were not for testosterone, you would not be logged in to post on this thread.

JHFC! It's called fast acting(and fast dissipating, ahem, perfect for PED testing) testosterone. When are these dopey doping sports players gonna catch up with modern technology!
