2019 Mock Drafts

Sometimes that reason is to figure out a player's value for purposes of a pick trade.

I would note that it’s not necessarily Thuney they’re looking to replace but Andrews who, perhaps they think can be dislodged by a top talent. Just a theory of mine.

There was a report last year that we were interested in Frank Ragnow - C/G - Arkansas. Whom detroit picked right before we took Wynn.

RJ White has a full 7 rounder out.

1. AJ Brown - WR - Ole Miss
2A I. Smith - TE - Bama
2b J. Williams - CB - Vandy
3a A. Isabella - WR - UMass
3b Trade down for a 4&5
3c Kingsley Keke - DT - Texas A&M
4A Blake Cashman - LB - Minnesota
4b Traded to SF for A. Armstead. Also sent them a 7
5 Sheldrick Redwine - S - Miami Fla
6 Trayveon Williams - RB - Texas A&M
7 Gardner Minshew - QB - Wash St
7 Jamal Davis - LB - Akron

Love the trade for Armstead. Really addresses WR and TE. Would like
a DE. I'd prob go with A. Nelson instead of J. Williams

Hah, Williams is one of the only picks I like (along with AJ Brown, Redwine, and Jamal Davis).

And Dan Feeney the year before.

Kiper has a 3 rounder out.

1. Daniel Jones - QB - Duke
2. Jerry Tillery - DT - ND
2. Miles Boykin - WR - ND
3. Lonnie Johnson - CB - Kentucky
3. K. Warring - TE - SD St
3. J. Sternberger - TE - Texas A&M

I don't like the first pick. But, other that that. I'd be pretty damn happy with
that haul. We could take AJ Brown at 32. He's got Simmons going 28 and Fant
30. If ya want to trade up.

Interesting. You’re not a fan of Isabella? I’m not particularly keen either, although could live with it. I’m interested in your reason though.

I have a very simple view on the Pats drafting a AB high. If they do, it probably means they like him which means I’m behind it whether it be Jones, Grier or Rosen.

I don’t know anything about Lonnie Johnson (QB and CB are two positions I’ve largely ignored this year) but I’d take Joejuan Williams in the 3rd. I could get on board with that draft although I’d take a Max Scharping instead of Warring and a Drew Sample later as well as someone like Stanley Morgan later too.

Yeah, if you could swap out that 1st rounder the rest of it plays out really nicely. IMO the WR class is so deep I wouldn't go 1st & 2nd at that position--give me the best available OL and I'd be happy.

Or, trade down:confused:

I’m quite taken with the safety class too. I’d be happy with Rapp,Thornhill, Savage at 56.

Fwiw, Daniel Jones visited the Pats today.

That would be a GREAT 3 rounds. I think Boykin goes lower, but I wouldn't complain. He's truly a physical beast. To get Sternberger and Warring in the 3rd round would be awesome. I like Jones A LOT, and if he's there at 32, and Belichick wanted him, I wouldn't complain.

One thing I think about mock drafts when it comes to the Pats, everyone is going to be so wrong. The Pats, as always, are going to shock everyone, there will be guys drafted early that are rated 7th round picks, and guys drafted late that will be steals (rated 3rd round picks). There is no way the Pats will be picking the fancy, well known names.

I do like him, but I think he and Brown are a bit redundant in that they're likely to play primarily in the slot, and Brown likely will be more productive earlier. Isabella played predominantly outside in college, but at his size he's not likely a full time X receiver; I think he may take some time to transition to slot. Brown is also solid outside, but does his best work in the slot or at Z, and he's got the size and style that seems to translate into production in the NFL right now. Almost all of the top-20 receivers in yards the last few years have been either X receivers, big slots, or move TEs. Maybe it's nothing, but it seems that bigger bodies with some YAC who can threaten MoF or the seam have a clear path to putting up yards.

Thornhill, please, so he can pair with Melifonwu. Great first name combo. :p

I don’t think you’re thinking this through though.

1. Who wouldn’t want a Pats jersey with Savage written on the back.
2. Imagine the opportunity for “that’s a Rapp folks” anytime Taylor gets a game ending interception.

I do like Obi-Juan though.

It’s his body catching That worries me. Give me a hands catcher every day.

Bucky Brooks did a ‘perfect pair’ video predicting the first two picks for each team. For us:

32. Johnathan Abrams
56. Chuma Edoga

What say you?
