LOL: Irsay’s goal is to win 3 Super Bowls in a row

Don't start that again. We lost that game by 2 possessions With as weak as the rest of the secondary was, one Butler more or less probably doesn't make a difference
While it's impossible to know how the game plays out, it was only a 1 possession game.

Poor Jim. He fell off the wagon.

I had to check to see if irsays comment was dated April 1st.
It may not have been dated April 1st, but he made the same comment a couple months ago and the same thread with the same comments from the same people was created in this forum.

We had 3 opportunities for a 3 peat

2003/2004 (2005)

2014 (2015) 2016

2016 (2017) 2018

True.

Though I'd say 05 wasn't really a realistic threepeat, the team wasn't that good that year. Injuries killed our chances in 15.

Was he talking NFL or Madden NFL? I didn't read the article.

The team is better than prior years, but I would give them better odds of winning if Irsay sold the team.

Forget the Colts because they are irrelevant.

Looking back, since 2000 only the Patriots have won a SB back-to-back. Not one team has ever achieved a three-peat in the history of the NFL. .
Actually Lombardi's Packers won 3 in a row, 1965 (pre Super Bowl) and SB 1 and 2....

They, not “we”, lost by 8 points and were down 5 when Brady got stripped sacked. Butler on Agholor and Gilmore on Jeffrey would’ve changed the game completely. Jeffrey was invisible when Gilmore was on him.

Even without Butler, the refs calling the illegal shift on 4th down and the bobbling catches by the RB’s in the end zone would’ve been game changers as well.

Actually 4.

2001/(2002)/2003
I think they would’ve lost to the Raiders or Titans in 2002. They just couldn’t stop the run or pass. That home loss to the Jets was the low point of that year with Chad Pennington throwing deep bombs all over the field.

2005 was tough as they would’ve had to avoid both Denver and Indy.

No excuse for 2015. They intentionally held back against the Jets and Dolphins to not risk health. Needed one win to lock up home field throughout and lost both. Biggest wasted opportunity. After physically getting their butts kicked in Denver, they only lost by 2 points! Pats would’ve blown them out at home.

I firmly believe we should try to win 8 Super Bowls in a row

What's even more impressive is Irsay intends to do it with the lowest payroll in the league.

That dopehead is going to need homefield advantage in 3 straight playoff runs since Andrew Luck can't throw for **** in cold/wet/snowy weather.

Nonsense

Irsay’s goal is to win 3 Super Bowls in a row

It's good to have goals

They suck with Luck. Seriously he is an above average QB who is easily minimized in the scrutiny of defensive schemes ... prone to errors.
