Odell Beckham to Cleveland

Anyone trying to compare what we could have offered to Cleveland's deal should keep in mind that the difference between pick 32 and pick 17 is probably another first round pick. For reference, the Saints gave the Packers an extra first rounder to move from 27 to 14 a year or two back.

So we'd have to give up two firsts, a third, and a player for OBJ to match the Browns. Peppers is decent too; Harmon seems like a decent comp, albeit different salaries.

It's irrelevant, there's no way BB is going to devote $17M per year on a WR. He wouldn't give that to Jerry Rice in his prime. When is the last time a WR carried a team to a Superbowl?

And before we all hand the next Superbowl to the Browns, remember they still have Freddy Kitchen as HC & the most dysfunctional owner in the NFL (see link for more color). I'd be surprised if the Browns beat out the Steelers for the North.

Inside the Browns' front office, where hope and history collide

Hunt won't play right away due to suspension but when he does that team is going to be tough to stop on offense.
Even without Hunt, Chubb can hold down the fort. He should get plenty of running lanes since teams will consistently be giving them two deep looks.

Haslem has been an embarrassment as an owner but he’s stepped back into the shadows much more with Dorsey. This team is beginning to have Dorsey’s fingerprints all over it.

The Browns look solid.

Baker Mayfield
Nick Chubb
Kareem Hunt
Odell Beckham Jr
Jarvis Landry
David Njoku
Myles Garrett
Denzel Ward
Olivier Vernon

A 1st (#17) a 3rd and Jabrill Peppers reportedly sent to the Giants in exchange for OBJ.

Quite a rich package. Cleveland had a lot of ammo and the cap space.

Writing was on the wall, prima donna receivers are gettable, no matter how talented.

I'm hoping that the Pats can finally hit on a WR in the draft. They are batting like under 10%.

Can we please create a new position -- wide receivers scout? Cos we suck at drafting those.

Haven't hit on a good one since Edelman and that was 10 years ago!!!

Julian Edelman 7th round pick #232, 2009 NFL draft.

Come to think of it, Brady and Edelman were both late round selections.
Guess that gives them both that big chip on the shoulder.

Collecting talent, or building a team? That's one of the 2-3 most important questions to be answered.
Yep. Figuratively speaking, they can either go the way of the 2015 Broncos or the 2011 Eagles. I’m hoping for the latter. I’ll piss myself.

Eagles get Jackson and re-sign Graham. Bills get Beasley. Chiefs get Mathieu. Ravens sign Ingram. Giants get a huge haul in this trade. What do all these teams have in common? They all play the Patriots in 2019. Patriots need to do something.

This is Felger or some other radio troll isn't it?

Not one person on this board dares go on record with how good our WR were last year.

It's a known major weakness.

This is just insane. They won the Super Bowl. WTF?? How much of a major weakness were they??

Cleveland looks pretty legit if baker continues in the right direction and doesn’t hit a wall year 2. They still have landry right? Obj, hunt/chubbs, and landry is a crazy set of weapons.

Winning the SB isnt good enough for some here. It just isnt.

Yeah, Chubb's very good. Hunt's basically a luxury at this point.

It was certainly a weakness in 2018- that's why Bill traded for Gordon. They won the SB because the other units of the team stepped up big, including the GOAT.

I forgot they had that little sh*t Hunt. Seems like an incredibly shaky group of players in terms of character. The locker room might melt down if they lose 2 in a row.

They might get Earl Thomas too.

Jarvis Landry and OBJ on the outside, Njoku at TE and a 3 headed monster of Hunt + Chubb + Duke in the backfield

Mayfield certainly has a lot of toys to play with going forward
They will be tough to stop and will score Madden like numbers.....have to see how their D is next year

browns got a soild offense now they also got kareem hunt
Hard to say this but Browns look like team to beat next year and have made tremendous moves so far

I wanted him, but my god is that a gigantic haul.

Cleveland gave up a ton.
Brilliant job by Cleveland Brass....OBJ is most dangerous WR in league and amazing talent....
